It's Special and Speed are abysmal backed by a middling HP stat. It dies if a water or grass pokemon even sneezes in it's general direction. Or any strong Special attack really.

Edit: I forgot Cubone basically suffers the same way, just with 40 Special and 35 Speed. Mmmmm.

Hey jrose, I stumbled upon your channel and since then I love your videos! But after watching, I had a thought. Do you think you can beat the game using only your opponent's power against them? As in using only moves like bide, counter, etc.? You can use a regular move against bug catchers that have metapods that only use harden (or struggle) and some other move against the mandatory ghost pokemon that normal/fighting moves can't hit. Start with any Pokemon you want, and play however you want until you beat Brock (until you get bide). What do you think?

I respect your dedication so much. I'm doing a run with only 4 pokemon (Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander & Bulbasaur so i guess a quad run?) and I'm barely able to manage it. You're truly insane for doing a solo run with every single pokemon.

Challenge runners like Pikaspray, Jrose & MahDryBread as well as Big Yellow made me learn about G1 mechanics before I decided to playthrough it for myself & then do random battles in PS & know what Im doing.

To make gen 3 runs more consistent/quicker you could add a rule to always use a neutral nature. The EVs could become part of the plan to train and/or those that get poor EVs by the earlier trainer just rank lower for that gen since that's what would happen naturally.

You should do a run where you can only use OHKO moves (struggle is not allowed). You can change your starter to any first stage Pokemon that can learn an OHKO move just to allow it to be possible. I chose to use Diglet and change its first move to Fissure since it can learn Fissure via TM and is able to outspeed Squirtle.

its so lame that Body Slam can be learned by almost any pokemon, so every single run looks exactly the same...
It would be interesting to see runs without TMs - then it would be interesting.

i still find what you do awesome, but every single video "body slam body slam body slam body slam body slam body slam body slam" it gets a bit annoying (not your fault, but you could change the rules)
