Thank you for useful content. Would you recommend anything for ankle instability?
ОтветитьExcellent. Thank you!
ОтветитьI dance Ballet and tight hip flexors are the bain of existance to all dancers existence 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThank you bro! Thank you so much
ОтветитьI am going to apply this protocol to my rehab. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat tips. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьThanks Goggins
ОтветитьI like variations of the split squat where you target the back leg while your quads and psoas are in a lengthened state and you then use those muscles to help bring you back up. I had tight / weak hip flexors and found additional tightening and contracting with things like band march or L-sit training to be problematic and worsen symptoms
ОтветитьThis has gotten so tight and it does seize my hips and low back
I was worried it was a disease
Its a relief to learn what i can do to take care of this
Thank you
Can it cause groin pain and like lower abdomen pain ?
ОтветитьThis guy sounds exactly like Dane Cook
ОтветитьI think a variation of the strap stretch is how I messed up my right psoas. No matter what I do I can’t get it to release.
ОтветитьComing out of left hip replacement and have major pain in thigh and groin. While in recovery I was told to sit in recliner with leg up while icing. Then this pain causing the use of cane when getting up from chair or bed. Their remedy is cortisone injections and antiinflammatories 3 times a day. I had one injection but would rather do something else instead of medication. Can I do these stretches you show on my own or do you recommend a use of physical therapy to supervise them. I am a pain blocker, but cannot block this intense pain. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you for this!
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьInstant relief thanks bro 🙌🏻
ОтветитьGoing to try these exercises as currently major lower back pain and grabbing in hips upon attempt at gardening etc. Takes 3 to 4 days for pain to settle. Occupation has been office work...equals basically sitting and then recumbent for sleep and not much else!
ОтветитьThis is the best explanation of the role of the psoas and exercises to ease pain I've ever seen. Thanks.
ОтветитьHi Dr. Winslow great video. I've been doing some of these stretches and exercises for lower back and abdominal pain and it helps. But when I do the dead Bug exercise I feel a pop somewhere deep in my lower back, like closer to my tailbone but deeper. It doesn't hurt or seem to affect me in any way and I noticed it many years ago. I figured I would at least ask here in case anything rings a bell for you.
Thanks!
After watching several psoas muscle videos this is the only video I’ve seen that helped me really understand the muscle and why i have such low back and hip pain.
ОтветитьI wish you didnt use black clothes over black mat. I just see a shadow with head and arms
ОтветитьCurse you relaxing chair! 🤬
ОтветитьIs it possible that a very tight psoas can 'press' against your blatter? Or that it causes lower back pain and stomach pain together? With me it seems that when I want to go from a hollow back to a convex back, my stomach goes into counter-react and the whole thing is stretched/tightened there. Can this be of that psoas muscle? Thank you for your advice. 🙏
ОтветитьIn what order should we do the stretches and strengthening exercises? Which one first? Or it doesn't matter?
Ответить🌹🙏🌹
Ответитьfor the stretches, how can i tell if I am compensating? and how to fix? :O
ОтветитьDr. Ryan, well presented and the script well laid down below the video for us to remember the various exercises as you demonstrated and easy for us to follow. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for explaining how to use the PsoRite!!! I’m going to use mine more often 😊
ОтветитьMy back pain seems to get better when I pull in my belly, is that a sign to work on the psoas?
ОтветитьThank you for making this in-depth video
PLEASE, HELP. I have dealt with chronic lower back pain for 7 years, which started 1 yr after I had my baby.
I believe I have diastesis recti and anterior pelvic tilt. I have been to chiropractic and physical therapy but still in mild to moderate pain especially when standing for prolonged times.
I pulled my back past November. MRI revealed that I have
Degenerative disc disease, hypertrophy of flavum ligament, stenosis and bulging of L3-5 with L5 nerve compression on the right. My pain has subsided a lot after taking muscle relaxants, oral steroids, NSAIDs etc
I saw a different chiropractor yesterday who identified that my PSOAS is the major cause of all my problems and performed manual PSOAs release which was very painful 😭😭
but I will continue therapy with him 1-2x a week.
My lower back feels tight and very uncomfortable. My jobs requires STANDING 90% of the time but I currently cannot stand for more than 30 minutes before my lower back pains returns with tightness, spasm sometimes. I get a huge relief by sitting or lying down.
I believe the BACK PSOAS MUSCLES IN front of the spine that attach to the femur is the culprit. I already ordered Pso-rite.
What stretches and exercises would you recommend for the PSOAS muscles in the back?
Thanks - great video 👍
Ответитьpsoas i was saying ! my back is really killin me , 🥁🥁 lol
ОтветитьThe reductionist simplification of the human body in this video is disappointing but par for the coarse in conventional medicine. The body is one unit. Your psoas is not the problem. It’s a symptom of asymmetrical imbalances in your pelvis.
ОтветитьGuys….this muscle is responsible for SERIOUS testicle pain too! I was seeing a urologist and I was told I had nothing wrong with me. However, the psoas was so tight that it was causing a cremasteric reflex. I’m 80% pain free, but I had to go to see a therapeutic massage therapist. Good luck.
ОтветитьThis is me using the strap option and finding that just pulling it taut does nothing for my quads. Have never done the move but had to do the "advanced" option just to get any stretch. What i find interesting though is the fact that a short time of doing this has left me feeling like my pelvis has opened more flat to the floor. I wonder if this is a proper expected out come hmmm
ОтветитьBrilliant, comprehensive video! Thank you, I learned so much!
ОтветитьExcellent and easy to do exercises, good explanation, I am getting down to them now!!!! thanx a million
ОтветитьThanks for video. Can you address why when i lift say a car fridge or off load 4 small wheels/tires * 4, my iliocrest aches, my psoas aches and the mystery for me - my neck goes out and I only find out in the morning after sleeping. Thanks from Australia.
ОтветитьWalk a lot and take a dance class . . .
Ответитьexcellent explanations. great video !!!
ОтветитьVery good stretches have been dealing with sciatica pain for over 3 yrs my running has come to an end
I will do them everyday thanks for the video
Greg
i feel i have strained or hurt my psoas on my R lower back side, wrapping around to my R hip flexor. should i be doing these stretches? i fear they will hurt me more? thanks for your help! jj
Ответитьi think the first one is a yoga pose:)
ОтветитьI wonder if these muscles being. tight is causing my pain when I try to sleep on my side. ?? I can only sleep on my back without pain.
ОтветитьWhat if you have disc problems in lower back
ОтветитьHow long can it take being consistent with these exercises once a day to see a noticeably curved lower back correct itself and straighten out? I ask because my morale and hope is gone. Tried a lot of things. Got nowhere.
ОтветитьAs an active runner and biker I’ve been Dealing with low back pain and psoas tightness off and on for a few years. Most comprehensive vid out there for relief. Will add your PT to my regiment The plastic psoa-rite works much better than a wooden spoon. Thx for great vid
