With my personal experience, it was the worst pain I've experienced for about 48 hours before I was able to finally sleep. By the third day the pain was bearable enough to walk across a Hall and back. By the 4th day I switched to just Tylenol and by the 6th it was still very uncomfortable and sore but didn't need the Tylenol.
