Hey I was trying to make a 2d character rig in blender grease pencil. I was wondering for when drawing the assets if I should use grease pencil, or some other program to draw and then port the assets to blender. Grease pencil is just kinda fickle to draw in and I was wondering if there was some advantage by drawing just in grease pencil

Do you happen to use blender 3.5? Because I'm having problems with grease pencil rigging in that version. Whenever I have the rig and the gp object selected and I go to weight paint, I can't pick a bone by crtl left clicking like I used to be able to.
