I'm struggling to speak in Japanese so much. This was really helpful, thank you! 😊
ОтветитьThanks so much. I don't have native speakers of my target language in my community n and besides it's really difficult for me to socialize with people. I planned this method but I felt I might be gambling my time. Thanks so much for this video
ОтветитьWonderful tips, thank you Robin!
Ответитьi like this, ive been doing something similar just out of intstinct, probably because of been through the formal language acquisition rodeo a few times now... not the best imo. i call this superior method 'language assimilation'. you study the language but instead of trying to fit the target language, you make it your own, using your own resources, experiences and judgments as playgrounds or sandboxes. pretty fun
ОтветитьI don't know 😢
ОтветитьFor me, was a fantastic video because sometimes I don't how to start a conversation with someone else and practicing.
ОтветитьYour way to improve english is very smart 😊
ОтветитьRobin, You tell very interestingly. But could you tell how you start learning a foreign language? Starting from the zero level. Because in this film you talk about developing a language when: you have intermediate level, you know the vocabulary and basics of grammar. And how do you reach the intermediate level?
ОтветитьIt can be hard to speak when you can barely construct a sentence.. Years ago I learnt my English through reading and just listening, it works. That's why am teaching beginner English this way, I know it works through experience.
Ответитьtrzeci raz to juz oglądam
ОтветитьHi im Vlad! I am looking for a conversation partner. Lets practice together
ОтветитьHow do you talk to ur self a foreign language thst you are learning ? Google translator ? Knowing isn’t that perfect translation sometimes ! Who would know if it’s correct or not ?!
ОтветитьI hope in my conersation class on weekends at Fisk my teacher appreciate this vid as much as I did. You know, ever since my first class that the way I've drilled but, as I'm shy, I could never ever motivate anyone myself. Nowadays I'm into German, and it's been working the very same way. Way to go.
BTW: I've exchanged words in French with my dad's client who lived in Belgium. I've never gone to a French school. But the methodology has always worked ever since the first English class over ten years ago.
I wish it had portuguese subtitles too. I've got a friend I've spent some time trying to get me a company to talk to - she's found it interesting too, I've been careful not to blow my efforts leading her towards giving up -.
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! Sometimes it's just not practical or possible to speak with other people. Great to have some soft skills to fall back on to continue our language learning journey.
Ответитьvery unigue language approach
ОтветитьI stumbled upon this channel yesterday... So fascinating
ОтветитьHint: stop thinking of languages as "foreign." Try the term "Target Language," take aim, and SCORE!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this great content. As an introvert, love it
ОтветитьSpeaking and listening skills are the hardest parts of learning a language. 😭
ОтветитьHave you tried matcha? Lots of L-theanine and no caffeine crashes; just steady and calm-inducing focus
ОтветитьPrecious information
ОтветитьI like your accent
ОтветитьIt's like the best tips for introverts😂
ОтветитьAs an introverted individual myself, I really appreciate this video.
Ответитьmaybe its an american thing, my family talks to themselves all the time. we think outloud in the car and to our pets. theres no inner voice just talking outloud
ОтветитьWell I already do these
ОтветитьBasically I will talk to myself like a crazy person… which I do anyways. And talk to your pets.
ОтветитьThis is such a smart idea .. thank you for sharing
ОтветитьI tend to think out loud as a way to process concepts, current events, etc. quite a lot. I never thought of using that as speaking practice in a language i am learning. That is brilliant! Thank you for that
ОтветитьHonestly I have been looking for videos like this but I were avoiding this idea cause I thought it is a completely wrong way to learn speaking skills
But thank you, you have shown for me that it is okay and more than that it can be a very affective way.🙏🏻😢
Thanks for your advices 👍.
This is what I was looking for and heading that from someone who tried it makes me feel more confident. Thanks .😊
This is really helpful! Thank you so much
ОтветитьIt’s like law of attraction, you’re magnet for all good things. Everything came to you naturally.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for sharing.
ОтветитьWatching your videos is like looking in a mirror, except you have a better hairline :D
But it's cool how many of your techniques are what I already use myself.
You sound like dr Avery from greys anatomy
ОтветитьThese tips are amazing, thank u!
ОтветитьHoly fucking balls. The statement you made about forming random sentences hit me like a brick to my head and i said wait a damn minute… i have simple vocab and syntax down….Let me see how many simple sentences i can make. next thing i know im double checking my sentences on google translate and saying what i want! Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat advice. You're an inspiring and intelligent guy
ОтветитьThese are very practical steps. That's what I tell my students as well..
ОтветитьExcellent video 👍
Ответитьthank you so much
ОтветитьPlease learn Malayalam 😃 🇮🇳
