I like only enough lights to look like fairies flitting around. I discovered teeny lights on a wire. But, I live in a little apartment & have a slender 7 ft. tall tree with a few fake pinecone's. I somehow make it look pretty. If I had enough fairy lights to do what you did? Definitely. Maybe next year...😊

It’s great, but please read the package the lights come in, I don’t know that you can safely hook that many together? I just did a tree outdoors with the old wrap around method and still exceeded the recommendation and it wasn’t a huge tree…

Please do another video showing how you do the top!!!!! There's no way of doing it that way since the branches are individual, not five "fingers". I'm honestly having a lot of trouble!!!

Never decorate a tree in the day. When the sun goes down you will have to take all the lights off and start over again.

Thanks for that info. Can I suggest wearing surgical gloves to reduce the lead toxicity. The fine print is often overlooked.😅

I've done it the Martha way for years, just because it's similar to what my mom did. This way does use lots of lights, but Martha's takes even more! I had a power strip strapped to my trunk to handle all of them!

Our pre-lit tree did that too. A few years ago I removed all those and still use the tree.

I’ve absolutely hated lighting a tree because of how long it takes so I’ve left it to my husband , who does this half ass along the edge and inside. This technique I’ll try.

It takes me hours to do my lights. I wrap an entire 2 strings completely around the trunk first. I also have adhd and ocd. So as much as I'd like to do it the easier way my brain just won't let me lol. Every light has to be just perfect.

What a great idea! I've used the Martha Stewart way but used it to make my tree pre-lit. I don't take the lights off. If I ever get another tree, I'm doing it your way. TFS!
