tried to follow this guide, but it is definitely not working anymore, no matter what blade or other attachments the prices will be different for every forged sword. Even if it has higher stats or even for swords with the same stats.

I have been using parts that increase swing damage but I am selling them for less than before, unlocking new parts in tier 1 does basically nothing for me. Am I doing anything wrong?

Just a little tip as I have done this myself. Instead of clicking the Smelt button (or whatever the button happens to be on the screen) you can spam Enter and it makes it faster.

One thing I've learned about smithing is that Javilins are my bread and butter. They're cheap to make and expensive to sell. 20-25k per jav but I'm bored of just crafting them I need something else lol

I started to do smithing in mid game, but I can’t do any now because I joined the kuizaits and we are always at war… If we’re not at war it’s only for about 3 days.

Update: this start can be used at poros in the campaign for p much the same profit. Still a long ride north, but there are also two sheep villages nearby, it may be worth purchasing as many burden animals as possible and as few recruits as you need to avoid a herding penalty to make your way over, purchase the lot, and slaughter them immediately and carry the meat and hides to the next towns to make more profit. Haven’t tried greeding the villages like that yet, but the poros deals are still there to triple (or quadruple) your starting income… just pray there are lots of sheep.

Yes, but... why? You still can win tournaments, join faction and gain your first 1 mln by successful wars, and selling gears and prisoners, in one year

This so unethical I feel no shame in kick attacking tournaments for free loot anymore

they patched some things 😭, for example the pugios and daggers cost more now

You can make 50 million denars in a year using Keep What You Kill.

I stuck for two hours smithing wondering how strat could lie to me only to find out i was smiting one handed swords. I hate smithing.

So what task in smithing gives the most XP? Like witch tasks is best for the main toon to focus on? Making weapons or breaking them down? Or doesn't matter?

This is why i consider smithing to be a broken, unbalanced money-printer, and completely ignore it in playthroughs. It's an absolute shame that many new players trying to understand economy get given the poor advice of "just grind smithing"

Smithing is completely broken in this game, there is literally no reason to run caravans or invest into workshops, just craft a bunch of ugly greatswords and sell them for thousands

The quick start tip with the hogs is fantastic, and it work in Poros as well from my recent playthrough.

Whats the best way to make max money as a merc? Join a nation as a merc and stick with it for 1200 days? Or join a nation as a merc then switch to another nation as soon as the previous nation is at peace?
Cause I'm still working on my playthrough, so far I recruit men wherever I am asap, then go and hire myself as a merc to make money, but it takes a long time to make money. I'm wondering if there's a better way

After downloading the game and playing for a day I had a decent army size but eventually lost all my money trying to keep it up and missions where not doing much to help my finances. I watched over 20 videos and tried them all, from get rich with horses to get rich with caravans, they didn’t work for me. This one did, I made over 40k in 2h IRL. Thank you for making such this video

Was into playing as a crafter but this looks more like a exploit than a fun progression. I think the game’s economy system is too naive which allowed this to happen.😢
