Maybe the mega goji death was before kongs family dies so they killed it then went to war with the skull crawlers or the otjer gojis so thats why the axe remained there or the axe wasnt good for the kongs

I think the reason why the other kongs didn't return is because Scar King probably killed them

The Gojira speices raided for revenge so then the kongs ran deeper into hollow earth to scar kings lair.

Probably the gojiras found out that the kong species killed their gojira so they attacked and it took 4 to 6 kong to kill one gojira so the kongs left everything behind cause they knew they would lose and after that they went searching for a island found skull island then the skull crawlers killed every kong expect the present kong and the present kong found the temple.

Skar king was the alpha, he ended up losing to godzilla and him and his kongs were locked away somewhere in hollow earth. Seeing this happen, a few of kongs direct ancestors fled to skull island, eventually evolving to the point where they werent growing to full size. They end up gettin whipped out by skull crawlers some time later, leaving kong here to do it alone. He does then gets the island to "himself", as the dominant species, grows to full titan size. ( i wouldnt be suprised if skar king has a tribe to who prophecies a return of a kong, who frees them.)

Rewatching after 2 years and my new theory is that scar king took them when they went out and took control of the kongs after killing the alpha kong

Sorry im 2 years late but my theory is that scar king found the temple of kongs but he had a diffrent temple and group since he was so powerful so all of the kongs got scared and scar king told them to come to his temple.

Gojira's entire genus has a blood feuds with Titanus Jinshin-Mushi AND Titanis Kong as well. No wonder they were almost wiped to extinction.

It's possible that the other Gojiras noticed that the mega was missing and tracked him to the temple. When they found the scene, they went berserk and fought the Kongs until the vast majority of both sides were slaughtered.

I think that there is a bigger threat, stronger than the giant lizard that got executed, either took the Kong species as prisoners, or the Kong species quickly got out of there, remember it's just a theory, a FILM THEORY

I think godzilla have tried to use his atomic breath but as we see in the movie kong stopped godzilla's breath with his axe so i think godzilla can destroy the temple(I'm a godzilla fan so i can't accept his defeat )

My theory is that skull crawlers and gojiras teamed up against the Kongs but the group with Kongs parents escaped to skull island to escape the war and a gojira saw them and sent the pack of skull crawlers to kill them(they were basically forced to fight the skull crawlers because they didn’t want to go back to the hollow earth and they wanted to get rid of the crawlers and finally escape the war)

My thoughts are that the mega godzilla before it died it cold fore help then the godzilla ambush this

Most likely the head was brought to the temple as a sign of success of 1 Kong so he becomes the dominant. The head was left at the thrones base as a trophy and a sign to all not to challenge the dominance of the Kong and as a symbol of his rise to power.

What if we found out in the new movie the axe was actually made from one of Shimu’s Spikes?
