My favorite character in Marvel. He doesn’t have any super power compare to heroes, but literally, he has experience and patient which normal people can get. He could split the team apart with his strategy and effort. Especially, I love his tone and voice in film, it is gift to his career I believe.

The empire he wants to fall is Hydra, right? It’s a very long-term strategy for him, yes? Hydra, the empire, made super soldiers, which lead to other “heroes/supers” being made/more present, & as a reaction more supers villains, & the cycle continues. The level that they fight on always brings catastrophic fallout to the “just human” people around them & their fights. I think he thought that if he could destroy the hub of the problem (hydra/ability to create supers) then the last “generation” of “superheroes” would be the current one. I don’t think he ever thought that he could completely stop or destroy supers, but rather than he could curb them - how many there are, the indiscriminate nature of who gets given the serum. if they’re busy fighting each other then they’re less likely to look for fights elsewhere where they leave their chaos behind afterwards. That those “local” problems can be fixed by the non-supers instead, who might have a harder time fixing it but are equally less likely of causing such a bad fallout wherever they go.

I actually think demo liked hearing t’challa say that he didn’t want to be consumed by vengeance.
Zemo’s already falling down the cliff, what’s a few more pounds of weight to him?

Zemo is not crazy he’s a man who has lost everything and that makes him dangerous. Not gonna lie I lost my shit when he put on the purple mask.

Great editing, Zemo really feels like the Marvel equivalent to Billy Butcher, I know they are different. But they both understand that man made supes are just walking nukes, that need to be showed the door off our planet. By any and all means available.

For some reason I want to know if he's religious or an atheist. He clearly doesn't believe that there should be gods on earth re the super soldiers yet people have good grounds for accusing him of acting like he is god re his judgements and punishments to other people.
I get the feeling that if he was religious then he'd say something like 'my sins/actions are between God and myself' and 'I'll answer only to the Lord, never to the law', but not in a 'God and I are on the same page, he'll back me up and forgive me' the way some narcissists view themselves, but more in a 'I believe that what I have done is right. But if I stand before God's throne when my time comes I'll hold myself accountable for everything I've done in my life and will accept his judgement no matter what it may be. While I am alive though, I will not hold myself accountable to any laws that allow what I am trying to destroy to exist."
Anyone get what I mean? And get how I can see him saying that.

i wish there was more of zemo characters in marvel movies than "Im powerful and bad and i want to take over the earth" type of villains which is just a glorified version of weekly power rangers. even thanos' motivations aren't impressive. he just wants to play god for the universe and they won't use his reasons in comics because it's just next level dumb. zemo acted out of grief. no one may agree with him but he is understandable because he was the most relatable character in the whole franchise. he is the question "what will you do if you see the reason for your grief is just going on their day to day lives while you are in agony?"

After listening to Zemo, I realized he was right to a certain extant. Hero’s like the avengers always start out with great intentions and they do a lot of good. But that sense of trust and reliance they breed for people is also crippling. People will trust their hero’s with their lives and security and allow them to make choices on their behalf without objection. And by the time people realize they don’t like the choice that was made for them, it’s already too late. That’s how liberty dies, not to angry shouts, explosions, and gunfire as it’s forcefully ripped from you. But as you cheer and applaud the very groups and individuals who are taking it from you.

Absolutely gorgeous work here. As much as I love his funny one-liners in the show, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate how well you portrayed his pain, anger and dedication combined with his humanity here. His grief is what broke the Avengers and this beautifully underlines the power of his conviction. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece!

The best villains are decent people driven too far by something, whether that is grief, hatred, madness, or whatever. Even Thanos had a reason, a capacity to love and grieve - it was just hard to feel any sympathy for him because of the sheer scale of his crimes, even before he had the IG. Zemo had been a soldier and an assassin. His hands were bloody long before the events of Civil War, but he is an honorable man driven by grief.

The greatest villain tactician

Zemo was on MCU the closest thing to have Dexter. Is like an evil Bruce Wayne love him on Civil War, very please that we have more of him on FaWS.

Zemo is yet to be wrong, I absolutely love him.

This has popped in my recommended a few times so I finally watched it and I spent the whole time in awe of how flawlessly it was edited. I really liked Zemo in Civil War and was so happy to see him come back for the show and for so many people to like him too.
