I'm interested in getting an optic but tbh was kind of intimidated. What red dot? What's an moa? Tf is parralex this video really helped me out and I feel that you helped me make a good decision.

Just got my first pistol with a Red Dot. I did pretty good with it at the range but did notice I was trying to "aim" and be more precise with it toward the end of the day. This video explained a lot. Thanks

I must be dumb because I am not sure what to learn from this. IT seemed to me that you are an incredible shot and did not need to adjust the red dot once and therefor the red dot was already properly adjusted for all your distances. Anyway, can I ask what gun that was you were shooting? That is a god looking gun.

I thought optics would make aiming better but turns out optics just makes aiming way more complicated

This seems like a wasted session. Not sure what was gained here. I watch a lot of "classes" where 100% - the individual would have gained more by just spending their money on ammo, practicing, and evaluating what changes made an improvement or not.

Keep fighting for our second amendment rights my dude! These out of touch politicians and bureaucrats only want to disarm Law Abiding Americans and indeed all Americans so that when they make thier move to betray America we will be defenseless to stop them. They want total control and they know that if there were to be resistance to their totalitarian rule it would unite us and their rule would crumble. That's why if our second amendment rights are undermined and stripped from us our other rights will soon follow and without the means to resist every conflict with the American People they encounter will be so swiftly dealt with and so easily hidden by propaganda and decisive violence that most people will simply comply out of fear, ignorance, misplaced trust, desire to protect thier families and just sheer hopelessness. If our second amendment rights are stripped from us that consequence will be unavoidable. Think about the kids that were slain in "mass shootings," ever wonder why it's always kids? It's because that is what will rally the most support for thier cause, and these bastards never hesitate to step on the Graves of those children to push thier agenda. Strangely or perhaps not so strangely they block all effective measures to ensure the safety of our children and instead keep them vulnerable to the same violence, calling for firearms bans instead as if criminals would really follow such laws. Criminals by definition DON'T follow the law. These morally bankrupt politicians and bureaucrats WANT these mass shootings because it fuels there influence to disarm Americans. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if these attacks were engineered by organizations that are under the command of these A$$h0les. Strange how the shooters always kill themselves or are slain in the resolution of these incidents and when they're not we see little to nothing about thier questioning or reasoning. They are likely silenced to keep thier masters secrets. Now I ask you, IF that were the case...and they are already willingly allowing children to be harmed, whether by violence or indoctrination into the woke ideology...How much do you think children would suffer if the American people were unable to resist such evil? To see the answer, look at every other totalitarian/authoritarian government or every other dictatorship in history. People need to wise up, if you let it happen it WILL happen and if a people lack the means to resist then those peoples will be subjugated and controlled. Through that subjugation they will be enslaved for the benefit of those in power. It really is a basic concept that is easy to grasp as it is common sense.

We senior shooters can benefit from red dot especially if your arms are not long enough anymore 😊

Yeah... the instructor was closing an eye while using the dot sight, implying he's trying to "focus" on the dot. The entire point is to keep both eyes open and focus on the target, and the dot will be in focus when you do this.

Thank you for this content. I have done some training with a group that teaches Marine handgun trying course with a borrowed G19 so I didn’t have to use my G26 for 500 rounds. I now carry with a red dot. Need to go back and do it again.

Late to this video but very informative so I'm glad to have found it. That said, the sight itself, since you're at the Sig Sauer academy... assuming that's the Romeo sight right? (I just got the Leupold Delta Point Pro at the BX but I installed it on my Sig Sauer P320 M17 so best of both I guess you could say.)

why is it so hard to just say put the dot where you want the bullet to go for fuk sakes its like they are trying to break the code of a safe or something. some things arent meant to be broken down. sometimes to much instruction does the complete opposite.
