Mine is the cheapest
ОтветитьWish they were sold in Canada
ОтветитьI daily carry an unbranded otf, i like it because it has a nice action, reversible clip, and most importantly is a heavy solid feeljng knife
ОтветитьGreat video! I choose a Templar for the price. It’s was $200…on sale for $120.
ОтветитьKershaw launch 7 its best!
Ответить日本でも、片刃のスライドナイフを解禁して欲しい!
ОтветитьWhat happens when you fire the single action against a business card?
ОтветитьHawk Deadlock is the best but who can afford one! 3500+
Ответитьyour test sucks, you even didnt test how knife edge feels under a pressure, if knife mechanism doesnt brake etc.
ОтветитьWhy do some states (e.g., Minnesota, New Jersey, New York) ban these OTF knives?
ОтветитьMaybe someone can steer me right. I am looking into an otf due to dexterity problems. Double action and my problem here is I'm looking for one with the least amount of blade play. I know it comes with the territory with otf knives but looking for the most solid feeling i can get. Using a protech pt+ now and its rock solid and opens so fast and tight. I know a side auto is a different animal and that i can't expect an otf the same, but how close can I get? Thanks
ОтветитьI got the godson protech
ОтветитьThinking about the g10. Not sure if I can get it due to the laws around auto knives being illegal. In certain states
ОтветитьI see no need for laws on knives with springs in them. Knives do not kill people. People kill people.
ОтветитьThe Microtech clips are reversible. Unscrew the glass breaker and flip the clip to the other side.
ОтветитьWhere is the infedel?
ОтветитьSo no real budget or affordable options. Sad.
ОтветитьHeretic hydra is a mans knife same with halo 6
ОтветитьThat Piranha Excalibur put a grin on my face it's so sexy!
ОтветитьMy dream OTF is a 4 inch HALO with a drop point blade. Come on Microtech let's have it. Microtech are you listening? 😁
ОтветитьTY, a no nonsense review, no loud music or hype, just useful information
ОтветитьOTFs are neat to own, fun to play with... But not worth what they cost Vs what they offer.
Unless you're using it defensively (many more efficient ways to do that), there's no practical purpose for one, that isn't lapsed by a good folding knife.
I’ve rotated the pocket clip on my microtech.
ОтветитьI can't believe G&G Hawk Dead Lock didn't make it on here!
ОтветитьThings I can only dream of collecting ,living in the UK😢
ОтветитьIs cobratech any good?
ОтветитьGreat presentation. Just one bit of advice for next time, use a light colored table and wear a light colored shirt, more light. The details of the knives will be much easier to see. 🙂
ОтветитьI had one built from a company in Arizona called RavenCrest Tactical and they made it with a custom Tanto two tone blade and a Glass breaker ...... these OTF are sweet ......
ОтветитьThat Excalibur has been around way before these other ones.
ОтветитьMicrotech for the win..!!
ОтветитьIs there an otf around the size of the Manticore S with a top slide? I love mine but the control location is very inconvenient for the size.
ОтветитьI upgraded from Kershaw launch one and four to the microtech ultratech and exocet. Gave the Kershaws to a bro. Never looking back.
ОтветитьIs it possible or common for one of these to open when pulling out of your pocket?
ОтветитьWhich one is easiest to use for badly arthritic hands?
ОтветитьThe one in my pocket.
ОтветитьPrice$ would be nice to know
ОтветитьThe guardian tactical is a piece of crap. I went to clean the damn thing and while disassembly and reassembly was simple, the hex screws stripped inner threads of the handle. I was gentle, I’m not dolt when it comes to this. They may as well as used a piece of gum to hold that piece of shit together
The hex heads warped as well
Kershaw makes better crap then then
And kershaw is shit
Can you do a viper tech otf review
ОтветитьShowing which had less blade play would have help but thanks good video
ОтветитьNone. Even the best OTF knives can be problematic. With an OTS as long as the spring does not break I can service, sharpen and fix it myself.
ОтветитьIt would be great to see a " Best OTF Knife allowed in California"
ОтветитьI like OTF and hawe Microtech Ultratech, but for field and mud, could ,or dusty places that is last knife that i wud like to have it's ok for people who are working and one hand operations (cuting wires exe.,cut and closed.)
But that is not and newer bee tactical nothing. I rader hawe Leatherman, and cary it than OTF . OTF is for Cops who are tactical when they stoping sitizent and giwing them tickets. They all hawe OTF cos they need to bee tactical:) . I use 940Benchmade for EDC 4ares, and I use Mora when I must go to work, and combined with Leatherman whic is must for mee and Leatherman is tactical and practical not that spring youke. I like it but if it fails I can send it when I'm at feald to who . Osborn has Omega but I take 2 springs in case and I'm set, Letherman and I'm good to go also fix blade is must hawe I realy like Mora Gerberg have it and use it 5,6.ares.
What is the difference between a left handed or right handed knife?
ОтветитьTyler sweet review. I dare say that I would have to agree with Random Eskimo about you missing the Hawk Deadlock OTF. But at the end of the day you want a knife that you can really use hard and takes a lickin.
Thus another knife missing is the Microtech Combat Troodon. Shoot if it’s good enough for BatMan and a John Wick, it’s definitely the knife for me. And I’m sure you’ve seen the torchure test. The Dirac And The Dirac delta have the smoothest deployment of all Microtech’s. But my Combat Troodon in single edge clip point is my user favorite. I have to say the Gideon Tacticle OTF is interesting with the smooth action. I love to see someone go through a torchure test with these other brand blades like Ray of X-ring fame. My last thought on knives of any type is the blade coatings. I really don’t like DLC or cerakote etc coatings. If you are really using the knife they get scratched and that just doesn’t show on a stonewash or plane steel. And I love the patina that some blade steels develop. Rust has never been a problem because I take care of my tools.
The "Best OTF" is without exception the Grant & Gavin Hawk Deadlock, if you can get lucky enough to get one. They are superlative.
ОтветитьVery much liked the Piranha Rated X, never heard about before.
ОтветитьCould you add cost? Or at least average cost...
ОтветитьI'm looking for an OTF smallish knife for my kid to carry at college. A glass breaker is a must have.
Aside from that, any specific recommendations for an inexperienced handler to carry for self-defense and safety?
Also any resources for training/practicing with handling it?
Yes, we talk extensively about situational awareness, finding exits, keeping calm, etc. But there has been a stabbing incident during an altercation this year already at her school and we live in generally not a safe area so I want her to have something for a last resort.
