Love the psvr2 aswell , my only Problem that i have is that 70% of the games out there are horror games and my head hurts after 2 hrs of playing , think its a lilbit to heavy !

Ok, I can very easily see the difference personally, I was expecting PSVR to be the left one tbh due to how much sharper the image is but the PSVR still does look fantastic. To think consoles now have this level of VR now is actually exciting for the future of VR games and ports.

i got both right and i can tell a difference, but thats because im looking for it. PCVR is going to look better, PS5 is a mid range PC equivelant. This is something ppl dont understand

Because of the mura effect on PSVR2 (not visible on your video) I recommand choosing PCVR version by far..

This video makes zero sense.... Different PCs will produce different results, and then all the different headsets produce many more variations of results... "PCVR" is a non-state. Daft

I guessed the first 2 correct, the PC version has better reflections in the water. Look at the clip at night when thunder cracks you can see the light in the water from the thunder on the PC but can't on the PS5

Dont do PC unless u have at least 5 grand to throw in the fire, its also a pain. No issues , super user friendly psvr2

The washed out colours are because your PCVR headsets aren’t OLED, so you get over gamma over exposed washed out colours.
Get a Vive Pro or a good HTC PCVR headset and you’ll see why they are worth the money.

That's very true you explained it best I've heard so far

And I totally agree with your statements on no man's sky I had it playable at one point took ages of messing with settings to find a happy balance just for an update to completely break my game (I've looked into it and it just tunes out my configuration of hardware doesn't play nice with it maybe fixed now been awhile since tried it again on pc) glad I can just pick up and play on psvr 2 without all the hassle and it's more stable than I had it on pc too

Only thing I can say I remotely disagree with is your statement about flight Sims , ps5 has hotas support just takes a developer making a great flight sim game and that game coming from war thunder Devs looks really good I can see someone matching or outdoing flight simulator, ya know actually making a game based around flying not just flying around senselessly

The left one is obviously pcvr because it's all high quality. PSVR2 uses eye tracking for foviated rendering which makes recording it look slightly blurry.

It will be hard to compare the PSVR2 to just any standard PCVR because PlayStation uses eye tracking for resolution. Which means just looking at a screenshot of what it would look like on a TV will not be as clear as the user using the headset is experiencing.... With the PS VR headset to clarity comes from what you're looking at at that moment in time

You should have mentioned that with PSVR2 resolution in games is being rendered differently. With built-in eye tracking game renders the highest number of pixels where you look at on the screen and renders everything else with less resolution to save up on resources. Our eyes are only super sharp right in the middle of our retinas (fovea centralis), while all other parts of our retina have progressively less and less photoreceptors to the point that our peripheral vision is colourless and so blurry we can only spot movement.

Question for anyone who might help please? I played a few games on a HTC vive yestarday, found it very underwhelming. It was blurry and low res in appearance even after some adjustments. It looked totally different in the headset vs on the screen. Is the psvr2 going to be like this too? I found it really strained my eyes and was not a nice experience.

The much blurrier one with foveated rendering is PSVR2. It's less easy to see in the headset because it's eye-tracked foveated rendering.

I was expecting you to say "jokes on you I lied" because the one you say is the PCVR looks actually better in every clip you showed in terms of clarity at least. A bit behind on the AA but generally it looks a tiny bit better than the PSVR 2 imo.

There isn't a set definition of pc vr. Its a massive variable depending on your gpu, cpu Headset, etc etc etc. I've ran all sorts of headsets which all have their pros and cons.
If I'm honest some headsets are better at certain things. I recently played half life alyx on a Pico 4 the blacks were way better than my varjo aero. But jump into SIM racing and the aero felt better due to the clarity. It seems the Pico suffers massively with high paced games, the video compression is noticeable.
There isn't a perfect headset yet....

So tempted to buy PSVR2 for these games in particular but I really wish there was more software for it. Especially some jrpgs. I know I will want a Quest 3 down the road for designing and more obscure titles but I'll probably need to upgrade my pc before then.

The PSVR2 uses eye-tracking to enable games to utilize foveated rendering, a performance optimization technique where the render resolution of the game is reduced in areas where the player is not looking, due to how our peripheral vision works it's impossible for us to detect it.
It's not an error it's a new optimization feature.
It really is now more impossible to tell the difference on a flat screen

Id take the better picture quality (sharpness) of the "pcvr" over beter colours/shadows(blacks really) of psvr2 anytime. Very obvious from the comparasions. Would love both though

edit: wow. I hadn't even looked at the description or watched the video enough to realize the "pcvr" was the quest2, which from my experience looks really bad.
If that thing looks as good and even better than psvr2, then Reverb g2 is much better, together with htc, valve, varjo etc.

This whole sweet spot thing is almost a deal breaker. IDC if it costs $500 more for the next psvr. Not buying another one with this dysfunctional focal point. It's atrocious as an understatement.
