Let's take a survey... how many of you have been told you have 'flat feet' and need to wear orthotics or "supportive" shoes? In my experience, 99% of the patients I see who have been told this do NOT have bad feet at all, but just low arches that need the things we discussed in this video. I'm interested to hear your experience.
ОтветитьAnd the ongoing battle of finding a workboot that don't destroy feet for people who work in the trades continues... sigh
ОтветитьI had arch support but not like that. Just had my Arch reconstruction on my foot . I have a lot of plates and screws in it. I have been in a cast for 4 months. Just able to weight bear. Went in to get a walking cast. Was surprised to see extreme flat arch. Only thing I can explain it looks like a Flintstone foot. Should I be concerned?
ОтветитьWhat about high arch?(to the point its detrimental)
ОтветитьThis guy has been my inspiration for many years.
ОтветитьI'm shocked.
ОтветитьWhat if you are Asian and just have flat feet
ОтветитьPlease. My autistic daughter 15yo have overpro foot plus hypotonic. Im lost in sea of scams salesmans and doctors without any help. How can i help her? Thank you.
ОтветитьI get the whole wide shoe thing but what can you realistically do in situations where you need to bite the bullet, like sports that require footwear, let's say snowboarding, soccer, etc. where even the widest options are still fairly narrow
ОтветитьI wish I had access to this knowledge years ago.
ОтветитьYou guys realize flat feet aren't pathalogic if you aren't having pain.
ОтветитьI visited a docter and they say flat feet is permanent but it isnt now.😅
ОтветитьMy son needs this info and definitely these shoes! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьLife lesson. No shoes fix all people. You need to find the right shoes !
ОтветитьIm flatter and more pronated ankles
ОтветитьWhen I was young I could have followed what you are saying, but I have developed hallux rigidus over the years. I don't think I could wear that barefoot shoe because the sole looks too flexible. Any flex of my big toe in walking or running or lunging is murder since that toe has no cartilage. I can't stand up on my toes unless I do it on the outside of my foot so there is no pressure on my toe. At this point it is hard to find any shoe that works and allows me to walk for hours or run. I've tried all the Hokas.
ОтветитьDo orthotics do much if you rarely use them? My feet are only in shoes for a couple hours a week.
ОтветитьI was wearing orthotics for 5 years and still having pain after long walks. I found online by myself about barefoot and started wearing them. All problems gone since then
ОтветитьI think I prefer the before
ОтветитьOnly my left foot is flat, and when i wear heavy shoes like jordan 1s, my knees and back hurt
ОтветитьWhat to do in case of unstable flat feet?
ОтветитьWhat is your advice on obverweight people whose knees would explode if i did squats
ОтветитьI wear heavy duty flip flops everywhere I go due to the convenience and I feel like they help immensely with toe grip strength. I can walk about 6 miles in them fairly easily and I'm kind of curious if they would help other people as well.
ОтветитьHow about heels(not so high) and boots in winter?
ОтветитьIs this the same for sagged in feet?
ОтветитьVery good explanation doctor Aaron. I very like your job. I like use with my clients this exercises and stimulus in longus peroneal and tibialis as well for stabilization feet.
ОтветитьIs there a way to correct the opposite problem, pes cavus?
Ответить@squatuniversity can you talk about shoes and shoe brands that are good for this aside from just tyre? Cuz can’t wear those every occasion
ОтветитьI wear stability shoes such as the asics kayano 30, which prevent me from over pronation & I put insoles in my gym shoes along with that i have been also doig certain exercises on daily basis for getting higher arches. What do you think, is it viable?
ОтветитьDo you have any tips to correct bunions?
ОтветитьCan I wear those shoes everyday? Like to work?
ОтветитьI’m assuming jumping rope can help with that heel raise?
ОтветитьThe quads on this guy!
ОтветитьHow I use barefoot if I play outdoor soccet? lol
It feels like the flat feet has been compromising not only my ankles but my lower back when I go extreme on the pitch. Next day, ankles sore and lower back.
It seems the posture of my knees is a little bit inadequate and turning inside when I do a squat. as the sole of my feet is already flat, don't think it is possible to build an arch there anymore as it dropped?
I have flat feet & I wear custom orthotics..
ОтветитьI have flat feet, I can only squat or deadlift barefoot 🦶
ОтветитьBut those shoes have been sold out...
ОтветитьIncredible ❤
ОтветитьI have flat feet, you've just explained so much my life in this short video
I can do 30 bodyweight squats in a row, I just do them as regular exercise, I'll focus more on those squats now
thank you so much for this
Not me 😅
ОтветитьIt’s curious and funny how that third movement (toe+squat) I’ve been doing it every morning and night for a while now, since it really feels good for me. I have flat foot and unconsciously I’ve been doing what you just said. I rather be bare foot whenever I can, i always do squats as you said. It’s just that we need to listen to our bodies and understand that not every product, shoe, gym posture, is for everyone.
Thanks for tue video (and I’ll be looking for those shoes for sure)
Any other shoes that one can buy with flat feets?
ОтветитьHey doctor, i have an unique case of just one of my feet being flat and it causes massive balance issues, tighter muscles on one side of the body. What should i do?
ОтветитьI can only squat on my toes, I cant squat on flat feet or I fall backwards. I guess I have the reverse problem of this.
ОтветитьI trained barefoot or with Fivefingers shoes and both work well.
ОтветитьBullshit info
ОтветитьPlease change thumb nail
ОтветитьIf you could "fix" my feet you'd win an award. I'm serious. I'm descended out of Africa and like many Africans, my feet look like I'm designed to not sink in sand. The foot store place was impressed with the way my foot spread on the print. I've got a point to my big toe too. My toes do not align. I've dealt with it by using orthotics.
Edited to add: I sit in the "Asian squat" anyway because it's less strain on my back. Interesting...
Flat feet are bullshit, debunked long time ago. NEXT
