PS2 Collection FPS (First Person Shooters)

Nice list. Although I'm a fan of Half Life, I get what you're saying about set pieces vs skippable cutscenes. They can really drag down the pacing with some mundane block pushing puzzle or similar thing. That's one of the things I really hate in modern game design, can't be bothered to play/finish so many games because they have trivial challenges like that padding out the experience.
If you haven't, I'd recommend giving it a try on PC with headphones on. It's a whole different vibe in my experience, makes first person view games more immersive when you're staring at the screen alone in a dark room. I think some FPS games have a strong athmosphere built for that kind of environment, and Half Life (both 1&2) is one of them.

It's cool to see footage from Black. Although I've seen it in bargain bins, its always eluded me. I remember seeing reviews of it on TV way back when it was new, and back then the graphics seemed impressive and quite hyped. But it was quickly forgotten in a few years.

Finding your videos very helpful, especially regarding the PS2 games which I'm currently retrospectively collecting. Wow I need to watch that again, I actually had it on VHS when it first came out and it totally blew my 12 year old mind lol.

I'd appreciate PC ports for the TimeSplitters games. The only thing missing from those games are making coffee and mouse controls.

Urban chaos riot response and Cold winter are still my favorite fps in ps2 with the Timesplitters 2 And 3 , Darkwatch , 007 Nigthfire , King Kong, RTCW operation resurrection ,Black.
