Ответитьshe does put water/sugar mixture on any of the cake to hydrate them AFTER they've come out of the oven and still warm. she doesn't wrap any cakes. they all look dry to me and non-moist.

ОтветитьI have a question. The recipe calls for 4 cups of flour. Once sifted and remeasured, there is flour left over. Should all of the original flour be used or just 4 cups of sifted flour?

Loaf Pound Cake & Lemon Pound Cake: The stars of the show. Nothing beats grandma’s pound cake. She do however use less sugar, butter and eggs than Martha.
Semolina Pound Cake: That was way way way way way way way way way too many egg yolks and the sugar, sweet and condensed milk and butter. I thought this was Paula “Everything Tastes Good w/Butter” Deen goos minute!
'Fold' isn't just a word, it has a meaning, so when the recipe says "fold in the flour", or "fold in the egg whites", one uses a spatula. If one has a nice mixer (I have one, so this isn't a sour grapes comment), one should use a spatula, NOT a mixer to fold in flour and whipped egg whites. EVERYTHING you prepared with the mixer is already over beaten, WAY over beaten
