Have you ever used a teleprompter before? What are your thoughts? Let me know! :)
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI didn't know Christopher Eccleston had a son.
Ответитьhey! i loved the video!
i’m curious if the teleprompter works with a point and shoot vlogging camera too? do you know off chance(:?
Thanks for this. FYI, in my experience teleprompter apps that cue automatically by your voice are a nightmare, really unreliable - I suspect because they're tuned to American accents.
ОтветитьMoving around a bit helps with avoiding the look of reading. Look away sometimes. Move your body a bit. Your hands. Be casual with your presence. When you become experienced with reading, you will advance to doing bullet points, with your conversation filling in, rather than writing down every word. Keep a eye on time, for initially you will take too long, but do it again stages. Learn to edit.
ОтветитьWhat kind of tripod are you attaching this to? I’m planning to use two phones or one phone and a tablet for this(in other words I won’t be using a camera) but I don’t know how to attach it to the tripod. Maybe I’m missing a step or maybe there is an adapter or amount or something that I need. Any help would be appreciated.
ОтветитьThanks for the review, very helpful
ОтветитьHey, this was a great review. Also, I love your candid personality! Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. Can you record horizontal videos with an iPhone 12 Pro Max and use an iPad to read the script with the Desview T2?
Or is it better the Desview T3?
Thank you
Thanks.
Just what I'm after.
I will use your Amazon link, and hopefully the $$ will buy a nice coffee for your efforts in making the video.
Cheers
Does this work with iPhone 12
ОтветитьGreat review. Please send the link to where to download the teleprompter app.
ОтветитьHi Sam, did you do any post edit for the script text reflection? Or is this set good enough that it doesnt give any text reflection
ОтветитьNice one Sam, thanks for the video. I've just been looking at the same model. Are those holes at the bottom for 15mm rods? So you could support it a bit better if the camera is in a cage?
ОтветитьGreat review! Are you still using this teleprompter on your latest videos?
ОтветитьGreat, to the point, review Sam! 👊😃 Have you used it, as a promoter, a lot or is it a bench warmer? I’m looking for a prompter myself as I’m also keen on using a script, and this might be it! 😃
ОтветитьI use the T3 with Prompt Smart Pro which is voice activated scrolling and usually works well. It can get confused if you have the same sentence or phrases in different places though. So it can jump two paragraphs forward to the next occurrence of that phrase. But usually fine.
ОтветитьHi Sam! Although we took Casey Neistat's class together, I'm still not good at improvising, so I came across your video about teleprompters haha! Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьHi Sam, great video. Quick question. I'm wondering if you ever tried to record using a phone with this teleprompter - does it support recording using a phone? Thanks!!
ОтветитьI wonder why can't Apple for instance have the webcam behind the screen in macbooks...it would be a game changer for doing zoom calls.
ОтветитьDid you try it outside? Does it work outside? Did you have to brighten your Phone or Pad?
ОтветитьFrom what I can gather, if you sit further away from the camera and zoom in, you're less likely to notice the eyes moving. The closer you are, the more pronounced it becomes. Hope this makes sense.
ОтветитьContent is great man. I've found telling stories very hard when doing product reviews and you've somehow made a great story with it haha. Keep it up buddy!
ОтветитьDoes this work with a 16mm????
ОтветитьI like the darker setup...
ОтветитьGreat video Sam, like you I have trouble taking to the camera but I'd want to us this outside more. How well you you think it will work outside ? thanks, Mike
ОтветитьVery cool! Thanks for the review!
ОтветитьGreat video Sam!!! This teleprompter looks great
ОтветитьImagine buying a $100 teleprompter for zoom calls lmao. Great review Sam, hope to see more of your stuff. Keep it up!
ОтветитьI like this. Thanks, Sam!!
ОтветитьHey I know that guy! 😛 Another great video Sam!
ОтветитьYou can also use a teleprompter literally for prompts, like you would a PowerPoint presentation... Just key ideas to hit, a couple of keywords to remind you where to tell the joke or anecdote you had in mind, that kind of thing. That way your engagement with the camera stays and you're not looking up/down at notes and losing your place, but you also have that organic feeling of going "off script" as you bounce things around in your head.
Good reference point if you wanna work on speaking but keeping it light would be stand-up comedians or TED talks... In both cases, they know their speech word for word and the key points to hit cuz they're rehearsed, but they're flexible enough to go on tangents, accommodate the audience interactions, and deal with hecklers (or, in filming equivalent, interruptions like loud noises from storms outside).
End of the day, just cuz you've a new tool to improve your technical quality, don't lose the human quality or the joy of filming... Even that Future You insert in the edit and the caption as you discovered a feature you thought wasn't available... Both feel honest and endearing, which are important for trusting a review, even if it doesn't seem "polished" from start to finish.
This has been mine teleprompter for a good while now. The T1 is solid as well but limited to 40mm lenses and above without vinyetting
ОтветитьDo you think this work well with a 16mm lens? I have my old teleprompter and i had to extend the frame by width so it doesn't capture the edges of the teleprompter.
