Bono's voice was so clear at that time

I remember seeing this in the early 80s when i was about 12 or 13. They had such energy and freshness about them that was so different to the mainstream of the then fading out disco music and incoming new wave bands and yet they were never a traditional rock bad either. I have followed them ever since remember skipping an exam at college to buy to The Joshua Tree on the day it came out. I am so glad they are still at the top making great new music

I have it on single.they were on CBS record in Ireland but they didn't sign them up and lost big time 😮

The story goes U2 wanted the Joy Division sound and worked with Martin Hannett to get it. They didn't get along very well and this song was all that came out of that partnership.
