Good of you to mention the processing dates, most don't think of it and then have to sit on hogs way to long.

What kind of pigs are you fattening out and how long does it take?

I've watched numerous videos and no one talks about predators. If you are running pigs on pasture how do you prevent predators getting to the pigs.

Yeah, we had to wait a while longer before we could even get a date for our butcher and then if you want anything smoked that was something else that we need to make sure we could get. They are so busy it took a long time to hear back from them.
BTW- We finally brought our pigs to the butcher on Monday. Should be picking up the pork on Friday. 👍

I have a 400 lb sow in the barn right now... wife and I've been raising pigs off and on for the last 10 years they are a Money Maker when it comes time to sell them piglets.. we had one sow that weighed 900 + pounds she was a sweetheart

Old hot water tanks work great split down the middle for troughs and if you got a big water tank of any kind put Pig nipples in them
