First I want to say I am a massive Iron Man & RDJ fanboy. However, I started paying more attention to Thor lately & his story is also very tragic. Thor lost his entire family, his home, his hammer, etc. in The Dark World his mother was killed by the Dark Elves, He has lost Loki several times, he lost his father Odin, Hela was free & killed a great number in Asgard including Thor's friends, Thor was forced to unleash Sutur in the Eternal Flame to stop Hela resulting in the complete destruction of Asgard, Heimdall was killed by Thanos for sending the Hulk home, Korg was turned to rubble by Zeus, Jane Foster died of Cancer.

It may be the most beautifully crafted and longest character arc in all of cinematic history.

Tony Stark and Iron Man, as brought to vivid life by the talented Mr. Robert Downy Jr, will live forever. Mr. Downy made that character his own, and I doubt any other actor will ever do better. He made the character real, made us feel for him and care about him. No one ever deserved a happy ending more than Tony Stark, and the MCU made a horrible mistake by killing him off, as well as disposing of all the other classic heroes. The MCU has not been the same since, and will never regain that height. Nor do they deserve to.

So much has changed in these past 5 years (pun intended and not intended simultaneously). I wish I could re-live the infinity saga all over again 😢

I’m 83 and I cried when he died. Was so proud of how far he came to turn his real life around. He was a real goof- off but he made Iron Man rule!!

Today marks the day you committed the greatest sacrifice for the Universe. Rest well Tony Stark.

Never forget that, once he matched velocities with the missle in Avengers, he had 2 full minutes where he could have disengaged from it, flown away to safety for himself. Or just releaseed it throught the wormhole and turned around while still under power. He stuck to what he did to the last second necessary to do what needed to be done. That's legend.

The world needs heros, fictional or real, Tony Stark is real in our hearts, he is motivation to be a hero, not all heros wear capes or armor, not a suit or a mask, some of them wear a heart that may be caked up with emotions underlying different things or issues, but we have to shed and chip away those things to be the hero we were meant to be, and Tony Stark taught us to do that

Please don’t recast Ironman, since Disney got rid of RDJ and even though they paid him a lot they will never get back to that popularity and income without him! NEVER.

Doctor strange could have saved Tony Stark's life. In the same manner as that quadriplegic healed his body.

Because, in the end, what else can you do… but try to show others that it is possible to do the right thing - even if it costs you your life: you will be remembered if you are seen as having done the right thing at the right time; we just never know when that time will be, treat every moment as if it were your last and do the right thing… We will always be better off for it… and it’s fun too: sometimes you do so many right things that you don’t worry so much anymore - instead of worrying about all the stuff you didn’t do…

Tony was and will always be my favorite Avenger. He is flawed, but human.

He was the only one who knew what had to be done and even with his daughter he made the smart logical decision he was and is the hero of the whole mcu and it’s a joke that all this new bullshit they have made especially the Thor film makes a mockery of one of the best characters and character actors of all time
