Loved this. One of the few backing tracks which fostered (at least at my skill level) a perfect balance between the technical and the creative. It wasn't just about speed and scales. This track screamed for a REAL melody line, even if I had to slow down to play it!

I improvised on a Japanese Ichi-Gen-Kin to this track. Check out this old & rare music instrument. It's basically a fret-less 1-stringed koto that is played like a slide guitar but sounds like a Japanese Shamisen. Thanks for your track.

I just had a "i could've had a V8 moment" lol with recognizing that you are the same musician that created the epic original songs posted on here as well. I found those songs through other vids. So nice coincidence. So, I just wanted to say that I have listened to the song Slow Gin by Joe Bonamassa, and while it is cool, and I love Joe, I think he is great, this track here just has more meat and more umph to it. I have been playing literally guitar lead over this for days now, trying to get something I like for myself, and having a fun time with it. I just wanted to say things for creating a cool backing track! Great job, thanks!

Sloe Gin is NOT by JB. It was written in the 70's by Bob Ezrin (who worked so often with Pink Floyd) and recorded with Tim Curry on vocals and is way more passionate than the JB version.

Iain, you should make some other like this... it's superb... I never get tired to just listen. The winning key of the arrangement lays in the piano and organ lines. That's your trademark.
