(Marvel) Peter Parker | Legacy

Welcome back in the MCU Spidey!

I love that mixing in Tony Stark at the end. This is sort of my interpretation of that...and maybe this was intentional from Sly. Obviously Tony had his own personal legacy...everything that he created and stood for. But what I'm taking away from this edit, is that he also left us Spiderman. "It's what we choose to leave behind." He picked up Peter at a young age and became a mentor to him. Mold him into a better version of himself. And in doing so, he's leaving behind another legacy.

A legend is none, don't be a hero who was after the praise because it's not about people instead it is about inspiring and accomplishing a meaning.

There are different shades of taking responsibility one can only understand through hardships and reflection, this Peter Parker, through his trilogy, always stood for taking responsibility, but now he knows how, the best approach, and has flourished into a fine Spider-man.

Just rewatched your Spider-Man videos for the umpteenth time.

Peter Parker has been the only comic book and fictional character I have ever had the most connection with, so any form of storytelling (comic, films, tv shows, games, etc) I observe and take it in... on so many levels.

As a creator/writer, he's the best example of a hero (he literally goes through the standard hero's journey in most versions) & a flawed protagonist. He's become a prime inspiration when I write my own material (be it fanfiction or original content).

As a family man, he's shown me what it means to fight for those you love and how they can support and empower you just by simply sticking by you, no matter how tough things get.

As a human being and simply an individual just trying to make his own way, struggling through life, where you're forced to make tough choices (I have a mental disability, have PTSD from abuse, nearly became homeless a few years ago, and had to abandon my old life and those who were hurting me, including family, to save myself, at the cost of my relationship with all of them) he's become my symbol and avatar of hope & resilience. He taught me about Power & Responsibility... And why you shouldn't give up no matter how hard things get.

Every time a new Spider-Man video, project, etc comes out, it's a reminder. A continuation of not just the messages he carries, but also what Stan was trying to instill in all of us. Because Peter is a representation of all of us.

That being said (and before I get any more misty eyed) I want to thank you for all these incredible videos you've made. (And not just the spidey ones) You put heart and soul, every bit of emotion and effort is seen in these. And I feel it each and every single time.

I too, hope to live up to my mentors' legacy.

And as for Peter, I think, knowing what we all know now. (SM:NWH ref) Tony would be very proud of him. Because Peter did the right thing in the end, which is the core of who he is.

I like that all the Spider-Men have different origins, and Tom's is especially unique because we've all seen the "I was bit by a spider, my uncle died, I made a spandex suit and now I'm the one and only Spider-Man" story twice, so it's kinda refreshing to see MCU Peter be someone who was thrust into a world of heroes trying to prove he could be one too, trying to live up to one of the greatest heroes legacies, recognising he needs to be his own hero, eventually losing it all - basically going backwards to reach what the other Spider-Men had. He went from support and technology to basic homemade suit and essentially loneliness - but I think it's heartbreakingly beautiful, and personally can't wait to see where his new chapter takes him.
