Every song he played was and is iconic. Yes, with a few special exceptions... Never forget the first VCR tape I watched. Jaw dropping on every note.
I was driving home listening to him on tape. Cut to the radio SRV is dead. I got seriously angry. The man took AA to heart and came out with his break thru album, In Step. "My heart goes out to others tryin to make amends". He was in prime time. He made Blues cool in the 80's. No small feet, if I may say. He refused playing on tour with Bowie and started his own tour, then dies. I still get ppissed thinking what more he would have done. He had finally reached stadium audiences. He had paid his dues and was set and ready to collect his just rewards... Guest appearance on the tonight show floored Dave. He just hung with the band the whole show... God Bless
