Excellent review-
ОтветитьI just got a sig p228 but mine is marked made in Germany not West Germany what is the difference?
ОтветитьI found one but I feel like I need another. lol
Ответитьi just recently pick up my P228, I love my Sig. I have 2: a P229R and now P228. I always wanted one after I bought my P229R in 2010, I bought my P229R when I was In Iraq, My company bought them though Sig under the Military/LE program. we had them engraved and they hooked us up with night sights, torx bit screws, 2 extra mags,SRT,and the short reach trigger. we paid $700.00 for them and $25.00 FFL transfer fee. so $725.00 I bought a $1200.00 and mine is 1 of 30, because only 30 of us bought them because everyone else bought the M4s we also got. after we returned from Iraq my company was deactivated.so it has been in and out of my safe. so I bought me a S&W M&P 9c so carried it all the time and every now then i would carry my 229, I wanted a 228 but couldn't find one, so I settled for my M&P. after carrying it for a while I want a M&P service model, mags are interchangeable, well from the service model to the subcompact. I bought a S&W M&P 9L, which is the LE model. It had night sights and a extra mag, but i bought extra mags for it, so I had 7 mags total, I put 100 rounds threw it. I bought the pistol back in march. so I didn't have it very long at all. So I went to a local gun store just to see if they had anything new which I do from time to time. there it was sitting on the shelf a P228 after looking and not finding one, I bought other pistols, It was $550.00, so to get it I had to sell one or two to get it. after talking to the guy whom I talk to all time I go in there, I told him I had to sell 1 to get it. He told he could sell mine so I could get the 228, I agreed to it. I ran home and gathered up all my things for the M&P 9L and went back. I don't think he new how new my M&P was. I walked in and he looked at and Said "how about we just trade, Its up to you if you want to do that" so I traded my M&P 9L for my new family member the P228.
ОтветитьIf i could post pics on here I would.
ОтветитьI will post a vid on both pistols.
ОтветитьI for got I do have Video on my P229R
ОтветитьBest gun Ive ever shot! I have a German made P228 (1996 d/o/b) bought it new in 1998 for $500. It not only retained its value, its gone up considerably! It is mint with under 100 rounds fired.
ОтветитьWHY WOULD THEY MAKE BOTH THE P228 AND P229? THEYRE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. I HAVE THE P229 and I BARELY SEE A DIFFERENCE. JUST MAKIN MONEY I THINK LOL
ОтветитьI now have a P229 in 9mm. My p228 had so many round through it the slide rail wore thin and breech block pin holes won’t hold the block even with new pins.
I bought the P228 in 1991 and shot it steady until 2016 so I got my Monroe’s worth trust me.
I need it.
ОтветитьDuring the late 1980s - early 2000s, the SIG P228 was actually the service pistol of the Swedish Police Service. However, nowadays, they use the more modern P226, and some officers are issued with the P239 (mainly female officers), and the standard ammo used by police here is the SPEER Gold dot hollow-point, it's been that way since 2003.
Ответитьflagged for gun porn ! hehehe
ОтветитьMy first gun purchase ever with the 2 Tone silver coat & the Night Sights! Beautiful gun, and great shooter!
ОтветитьAlso have the P220 from W.Germany, 229 with an additional .357 Sig Barrel, Scorpion in 9, Combat in .45...Mosquito, but that's not a true "Sig"....2 Tone also.
226 Scorpion, btw....
Thanks for the video, this helped me make the choice to buy a W. German p228. Great gun, thanks.
ОтветитьBeautifully DONE! I remember the days when my Dad was a Crim. Investigator in South Dakota in the 90's (I was 13.. LOL) and they were issued these. Fast forward 20yrs, after I served in the Corps 99'-05 and contracted off and on for 7yrs in the middle east..we carried 228's and Beretta M9's in Afghanistan (G19's we had in Iraq)....228's my favorite Sig GUN!!😁
ОтветитьA beautiful pistol
ОтветитьBest hand gun around.
ОтветитьI think I want this as my first pistol.
ОтветитьI really miss my P228...I wish someone would lend me one
ОтветитьDidn’t the P6/P225 derive from the P220 first, then the P228 came after?
ОтветитьP228 is👍
Ответитьfirst fell in love with my P226, Love Sig's then I noticed the 228 on NCIS ( freaking love that show) and wanted one. I eventually got a M11-A1. I like it but the thinner trigger is not my favorite. I recently came across a P228 w. German made for $670
Would you say that is a fair price ?
Director Skinner's gun from The X-Files.
ОтветитьI have a P-228 only time it was fierd was the five test rounds at the factory i have the target sign and dated original case mannual and magazines, not a clue what its worth
ОтветитьNope try 2500 on a true West Germany proffed to tone nickel rare in box or 1800 95 precent Swiss police marked rare sigs west Germany best if all 228! And bring over 1500 now days on gun broker if nickel there rare
ОтветитьI have a 228 stainless slide crimson trace laser grips, I got for $575 it was slightly used and a exceptionally accurate gun and very easy to conceal and aftermarket 18 and 20 round meggar mags are a available.😀
ОтветитьOverall best handgun I have ever been issued. Back in the late 90's many of the alphabet LE agencies issued them as well as military investigative/intelligence services. I believe it was called an M11 and was issued to NCIS, CGIS, AFOSI, and CID as well.
ОтветитьTook the one I got from extra pay from the riot, took it with me to Cooper’s Gunsite. It may have been his last class. Worked hard, Chinese ammo routinely failed. The SIG just sang all the way through. If you wish to meet a real Lady, see Cooper’s wife.
ОтветитьAmigo...
Tener esta pistola es distintivo de alta performance.
Es formidable por donde la mires.
La línea P 200 y pico es para comprarla sin dudar.
Ideal para portar a la mexicana...✌️😉
I really like the two-tone SIG-Sauer P228 fitted with a Wilcox Industries UITC IR/laser sight designed by Ellis Props & Graphics since the handgun was seen in the 1995 movie Virtuosity. Really awesome handgun! 😊
ОтветитьThat is the most beautiful semi gun ever made.
ОтветитьThe 226 is too big. The 228 is plenty large. I'm 6'2" 235 lbs., and the Glock 17 was my department's issued weapon, with the G19 optional. I used the G19. I don't see the point of the full size guns. Sure wouldn't carry it off doodie. 😁
