Today, the R12 is being tested for the first time under the toughest conditions.
Hard, frozen spring snow awaits the freshly restored machine.
Today's test run will show whether the R12 is up to these extreme conditions.

The centrifugal machine is being warmed up.
The "Moose" (Gm 4/4 71) brings the steam snow blower into position.
That was probably a bit too modest. The R12 can do more!
What conclusion does the crew draw from today's test run?
The R12 wins even against the hard spring snow.
However, this beautifully restored mashine is actually much too precious for that.
That's why it will probably be used for demonstrations with powder snow in the future.
The forces are very impressive. The 10mm steel plates are bent outwards.

Что вы знаете про снег. Чуть чуть его насыпало и ваша машина сразу застряла так , что ее лопатой надо выкапывать! Детский сад! Ну ничего, скоро везде Россия будет, тогда увидите сколько снега бывает и как его убирать надо. С Новым годом!

Bei der Räumgeschwindigkeit würde ich eher auf den nächsten Frühling warten. Das spart Kohle.
Legt euch mal russische Technik zu. Die muss keinen Anlauf nehmen.

That's an unusual looing steam engine... with two spaced pairs of axles and all wheels of equal size, just like on a diesel or electric loco.
