I suspect the dosage of quercetin was so high because the bio-availability of the drug was a little over an hour back then (2014). The new forms of quercetin are 40 times more bio-available and dosage could be reduced. Just guessing.

Nice information. I have been taking a multitude of vitamins+antioxidants for quite some time. I found some interesting studies which show a higher incidence of influenza in vitamin D deficient patients, and alluded to the season difference in sunlight to be a cause, and may be why we "get sick in the winter".

As hopeful as I'd like to be, maybe I'll hold on the Quercetin, it's not feasible to take 3-7g of that substance.

I did read some are trying to treat patients with IVC (IV Vitamin C) in new York. I did find a fat soluble form of vitamin C, ascorbyl palmitate and ascorbyl oleate, of which I have been taking for a week now over standard C.

It looked like the article evaluating intracellular zinc status with quercetin was also looking at EGCG and CoQ10. I tried to access the article to look for myself, but I do not have access. I am wondering if EGCG and CoQ10 are also zinc ionophores? It seemed like they might be even more effective, unless I misunderstood that graph.

You didn't mention that the researchers are looking to test isoquercetin and not quercetin. Most OTC bottles are quercetin and is not easily absorbed by the body

Big pharma don't want to hear about cheap solution to this pandemic. You heard the other day Anthony Fauci would not recommend either hydroxy or Chloroquine. He's leading infectious disease expert he should know what these drugs can do and have done in China the last month or so. China, Korea, Japan, and most of Asia area already treating patients with the drugs and we see Europe and American experts from the CDC, WHO, etc not making any recommendation while people are dying in Europe and US.

If chlorquine and hydroxychlorquine actually works against Covid-19, the statistical morbidity data on world-wide Covid-19 ICU data on immuno-deficent patients on chlorquine and hydrooxychlorquine vs their counterparts not on those drugs should show that information. I sure it a large enough group by now. CDC, WHO, NIH, FDA, clinicians or researchers should have done it by now, unless their interest elsewhere.
