Silly question, can I use wood chips for grilling?
ОтветитьGet a charcoal chimney. Use lump charcoal. When ready dump it near you're intake. Use the other side of your fire box to stage your wood. Gets it hot, ignites almost instantly, instead of smoldering. I get much better results doing it this way. Easier to control fire management imo.
ОтветитьThat charcoal belongs in the trash, get yourself a chimney you won't regret it
ОтветитьWhy didn’t you keep your fire box seasoned
ОтветитьJust bought one of these yesterday instruction manuel says nothing about how to grill and how to smoke. Thank you learnt some good basics here
ОтветитьThank you❤
ОтветитьThank you gor teaching me how to Smile. great video. Will let you know how my first ribs came out.
ОтветитьGreat video thanks man
ОтветитьThanks for the tips. Looking to purchase an offset grill in the future. 👍
ОтветитьI appreciate the video you helped me out!
ОтветитьGood stuff D. Simplified a lot for me. Just got a Smoking Joe's offset smoker. I watch several "scientific" videos on how to use the offset. This video helped way more. Appreciate it!!
ОтветитьI know that this video wasn't made recently by the can of Bud light!🤪
ОтветитьWhat do you do when the ashes pile up too much? Can you empty offset smoker without disrupting the heat flow etc.?
Ответитьsheeit thanks for dis upload . Spray some Hi-temp krylon sprayt paint on dat offset piece tho it will last long as hell cause dat coating from that factory peel right off.
ОтветитьMatch light? You need to get a chimney and use regular charcoal
ОтветитьThank You for some much needed help…!
ОтветитьVery nice video bro just got one for Father’s Day happy Father’s Day to u bro
ОтветитьIt's an offset smoker,not a grill
ОтветитьThank you , you just answered my big question 😅 , I did have nobody to ask, may the Lord watch over you
Ответитьgreat info homie. Wished you would have shown your ribs though. lol.
ОтветитьDarryl, great video! I have the same setup. Following your advice on the match light kingsford.
Also really great advice on controlling the temperature. Many thanks. God Bless.
Tony
Step one DO NOT use matchlight charcoal EVER!!!! may as well use lighter fluid! As in lighter fluid is impregnated in the charcoal and will do the same for your food.
ОтветитьNah bro, don’t use instant light briquettes. DONT do this
ОтветитьTy bro 🙏🏽
ОтветитьThank you my brother nice and easy
ОтветитьThanks so much...can't wait to try this out!! Very good info
ОтветитьI have a feeling that boy is going to be a master griller in a few years 👍🏻
ОтветитьI guess this is a dumb question but when using the smoker , do you place the meat (in the grill) directly on the grill racks or do you place them on aluminum foil ? I'm a newbie 😊
ОтветитьSimple, precise information. Too many videos I've seen that turn smoking meats like like you have to be a rocket scientist! I was just given a grill with an offset smoker for my birthday but didn't really know how to use it as I've never had one before. Thank you for this video...this I can understand and that's why I subscribed. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
ОтветитьDo you put a water pan next to the fire ? Trying to figure out
ОтветитьJust got an Oklahoma Joes offset smoker and doing some short ribs as a maiden voyage. First time smoking. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьThis is one of the blackest things I've ever seen
ОтветитьLove 💕 the video
Thanks, learn so many tips
Match light chemical laden charcoal ? Seriously ? Oh hell no. I'm out quick on this one.
ОтветитьThanks bud this video was extremely helpful first time wood smoker
ОтветитьI would never ever recommend the use of matchlight charcoal, it makes the food taste terrible.
ОтветитьThanks for this video. I’ve been trying to find someone who had this same grill/smoker to see how to properly use the offset smoker.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I noticed you had a bud light there on the grill, your like me, gotta have a beer while we grill lol 😂
ОтветитьI did learn a lot; thanks for the lesson; please keep up the work !
ОтветитьDo not use that charcoal for smoking
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Im just learning and this was very useful.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, it really did help, but get rid of that matchlight, and get yourself a chimney starter, and use regular charcoal. That Matchlight will leave a chemical taste in your food.
ОтветитьThank you! Your video definitely helped! First time using the char griller and definitely first time smoking. I'm cooking a brisket for the dallas/49er game today! GO Cowboys!!
ОтветитьDarryl, we just bought the same smoker that you have. I haven't used it yet , but I had the idea of using charcoal just to get the fire going and use wood for the rest of the cook. Thanks for confirming my idea.
Ответитьgreat video but your white smoking from the large log...need blue almost clear smoke for best results! but what you do is great for backyard but not competition......bust that wood down alot smaller..... j/s
ОтветитьThank you!!! Great video!!!
ОтветитьI just bought one the other day. This was extremely helpful!!
ОтветитьThats a well used smoker. I hope to use mine that much!!!
ОтветитьThank you for making this. I'm bout to try smoking deer hind quarter. I have a Oklahoma Joe's Smoker Deluxe. Hope this turns out alight.
ОтветитьThanks man all I've been seeing are videos using pellet smokers
