Hi my wife and I are doing 5 days in Scotland and trying to plan it out. We fly into Edinburgh. How would you do 5 days? Thanks!
ОтветитьYou cannot travel Scotland in 7 days. Stop wasting your time and go to the Isle of Wight.
ОтветитьYou let everyone see Scotland as it should be seen. And 10/10 for your pronunciation of the Scottish Towns. I've been in Scotland all my life, and I had trouble trying to pronounce some of the places you stopped at. Excellent video.
ОтветитьLove that you get most of the names right, shame you never mentioned fort William as it comes up twice in your video 😊 but a great video one of my new fav's 👍👍👍
Ответитьwienre🎉🎉🎉
Ответитьthank you dear haley for a lovely video !
ОтветитьWhich necklace are you wearing ? Can you tell the price and share the link as well please ? It looks beautiful ❤️🏴
ОтветитьI’ll be there in June.
ОтветитьWhich month did you travel Scotland?
ОтветитьGoing this July. My ancestors have a castle called Maitland Castle. I’m excited. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI'm Scottish but living in Ireland at the moment. A few years ago I did a 700 mile road trip in Scotland with my partner. As it was early March we didn't pre- book anything and just stopped where we wanted.
Ответитьwell title 7 days, video 10 days,
ОтветитьThanks for visiting our wee country.
Haste ye back. 🏴
You have missed out most of the west coast, which has sensational places and epic scenery, the places you mention are mostly cities and not at all the best places to drive as a road trip.
Try the NC500, visit Bute, the Cowal peninsula, Mull, the drive North to Ullapool and the Assynt peninsula, all missed by your visit
A roadtrip through Scotland is not a roadtrip. It's a trip to scout places you need to revisit in your life.
ОтветитьWhere do you find car rentals at 8 euros per day?
ОтветитьIf you only wanted to spend ten how many would recommend for my trip ❤
ОтветитьI heard Scotland is the best country. The people are very nice and friendly and speak perfect English. It's a free country more free than the United States. They have every American thing and more and its' very rich. It's literally the best country. I love me Scotland
ОтветитьAwesome Haley. There's so much more to see though. Base yourself in Glasgow. (A city built by glaciers) explore Argyle. and the famous Mull of Kintyre.
ОтветитьWould also highly recommend Orkney and Shetland! They have an amazing history and some of the best neolithic structures in Europe.
Ответить🤩🤩🤩 want to visit again soon scotland
ОтветитьTop of my bucket list 🏴
ОтветитьIncest people there
ОтветитьOld man of storr is at the start of Prometheus
ОтветитьMy ancestors are from isle of Skye, Kennedy's,I've been to all these places and more
ОтветитьAll done Hailey, absolutely stunning place
I was browsing how to visit Scotland and I came up with your very informative Scotland adventure
Great video. I'm Scottish, but I moved to England about 17 years ago. Didn't do too much travelling around Scotland when I lived there. I lived in Glasgow, so didn't drive, just cycled everywhere, so the most I saw really was Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, with the occasional trip up to the Cairngorms. I have gone on quite a few European camping road trips now (last trip was France - Belgium - Luxembourg - Germany - Austria - Italy - Slovenia _ Croatia and back again via Italy - Switzerland and France).
Due to Covid and added Brexit, we decided to do a modified NC500 last year, with added Orkney and Skye. Epic trip, at one point, whilst driving through Sutherland, I found myself almost in tears, there was just so much bueaty around us. Stand outs for me were Skara Brae on Orkney, Sheigra and Sandwood Bay, Handa Island, Althandu, Quiraing and stopping off at Loch Fyne Oysters on the way to Glasgow and eating ALL of the oysters. In the end it wasn't so much a 500 mile road trip, but a 2000 mile one.
Going on our next road trip in just over two weeks time, Croatia again, but no idea yet on the route, only place I want to visit with any certainty is Rothenburg and maybe Lauterbrunnen on the return leg.
I am married with a Scottish man , I am Dominican and we live in Canada. Scotland is amazing and very good people.
ОтветитьI am going to Scotland later this month for 3 weeks. I will be staying with a friend, I will make sure to check out the landmarks you mention.
ОтветитьGreat video. Lovely to see a young person explore our country properly.
If you come back back, try the 500 👍
I plan to stay for 7 days, is it too short?
Ответить💚🏴 your amazing 🙌
ОтветитьI'm American with Scottish heritage. I want to see the land of my ansceters.
ОтветитьI’ve been to Scotland twice but never thought about a road trip! 🤔
ОтветитьWe're doing 7 days around Scotland from this Saturday, 😁
ОтветитьGuys where exactly I can rent a car for 8€ a day ? That seems so cheap! The one I found online are more than 150€ a day !
ОтветитьI was born in Glasgow and moved to the States when I was five. Now I'm 18 and just graduated high school, and I'm hoping to go back over either this summer or the next for my first solo trip experience. I'm so bummed that I can't rent a car myself and tour my favourite remote parts of the Highlands that I grew up with. But taking your time through the Highlands and finding remote BnBs all over is something I can't recommend enough. Also, last time I was down in the Lowlands, my family and I visited Hadrian's Wall, right along the Scotland-England border. There was a little festival that we stumbled across there before we headed up to Glasgow, then Edinburgh, and then wound our way up through the Highlands to my grandparent's home near Dornoch Firth. Visit Scotland, everyone. I can't recommend it enough.
ОтветитьAs a scot, it truely is an underated country. Most folk aren't fond of it because of rain and migies.
ОтветитьOn my bucket list 💯
ОтветитьI love Scotland
ОтветитьAmerica is the perfect country . Why do you think people try to get here more than any other country in the world ..
ОтветитьYou will never see ALL of Scotland in 7 days. I've been travelling it for years and still haven't managed to see all of it.
ОтветитьI've been to Edinburgh, Inverness, Loch Ness and Urqart Castle. Ben Nevis at Fort Williams is no easy hike, but you should try, how far you can go. A whisky-tour in the Spey Area in one of the hundreds destilleries is a must. And you should look out for highland games usually on weekends in the summer. It's alqays worth it.
If you want to visit two or more castles look out for a membership in the national trust for one year, to save money.
Beware. What Haley doesn’t k ow is that Scotland is the most racist country in Britain.
ОтветитьAmazing. I'm starting this journey next week. When u hired a car, did u have to return it back to Edinburgh?
ОтветитьScottish people go to Spain weather not Scotland sad
ОтветитьEh Americas better
ОтветитьShould have started at Glasgow City or Merchant City, edinburgh is rubbish it reeks, lol
