The difference is, Angel Reese welcomed the tough play. She didn’t complain or make excuses. Obviously WNBA isn’t for everyone. Most fans prefer the men’s games. But there are those of us who are fans of sports and watch it all. And to be honest, the whole Reese vs Clark thing started with the 2023 NCAA Women’s Championship. Other than fans of said teams, there were no household names. That’s usually the way it is in women’s basketball. For those who don’t care for the sport, just continue to do what y’all have been doing and watch something else. The fake fans manufactured all the so-called beef amongst themselves and it really has nothing to do with the game or the players.

Indiana has played 11 games, no other team has played more than 9. The champs in Vegas has only played 6. She's a rookie, she's probably fatigued and will need to get a 2nd wind. In college they play 2 games a week. She has to adjust, plus they are beating her up more than most rookies.

The “real fans” don’t amount to enough to support the league to exist. It’s the Welfare National Basketball Association. They should aim all marketing through her and refs should give her superstar status next year to draw in the casual viewer, if they want to draw interest to actual game. If not, they need a gimmick. This could be wrestling, roller derby, a soap opera, lingerie league, let’s figure out a gimmick people will watch, or let them go to Russia, because no one cares

The WNBA is a money pit and has been since the league started. When you include the declining viewership of the NBA, the message is clear. You can't make people watch something they're just not interested in!

The entire WNBA topic is just too much drama and too much negativity. Cat fights, LGBT issues, and dirty plays have overshadowed the basketball. It's one thing to see a vet try to drop 30 points on Angel or Caitlin and it's another thing to see rookies struggle and get hit by cheap shots...that's not entertaining. The WNBA has never been successful and they aren't doing anything to change that
