Way too awkward emptying the bag. It should have a larger opening at the bottom , not the side of the bag.
Ответить💯 have had the same experience so far with this tool.
ОтветитьHad my unit going on 3 years. Does a pretty good job with leaves, but I have a type of locust tree. The big long seeds the tree drops about every 3 years gives the unit fits. Very hard to vacuum them up.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing!!😊
ОтветитьThanks for posting this review! did you ever find a place to buy spare bags? I've been looking, but also failed to find anything
ОтветитьI have a model # 40405 where can I find a replacement leaf bag
ОтветитьThanks for vdo beautiful collection quick question how long battery? Thanks again.)
ОтветитьYou can turn the bag inside out and squirt some dawn dish detergent on it and hose it down or take it to the laundry mat every other month.
ОтветитьMine had the wheels break off, battery garbage and bag clip broke off. I never got parts from Ryobi to fix.
ОтветитьLooks like it would be faster with a rake and snow shovel
ОтветитьThey really should add a backpack bag like the black and decker model
ОтветитьThanks for doing this.
ОтветитьBut you still have to put it in a bag correct?
ОтветитьGreat video
Heading to HD to buy myself one
I hope it works on the dried leaves from the rubber tree I have
Thanks again
👍🎃 Thanks for this video. I just went to Home Depot and was going to buy one today…. Until I realized what a ridiculously stupid idea it is to buy one “in store” instead of ordering one online. Online you can get the tool, battery, and a charger for $219 bucks. In the store??? Well…. 🙄 they conveniently only have the “tool only” box available for $179… but invite you to buy a battery separately… for like $198 dollars!!! 😮 lmao!!! 😂😂😂 then… the battery does not come with any way to charge… so you need to buy a charger for $95 dollars. With tax… your damn near $500 bucks when if you order online you get all this same stuff for $219 conveniently in one box. 😂😂😂😂😂 You can’t make this stuff up. 🤣 The genius ways they’ll come up with these days to really stick it to ya. Ridiculous.
ОтветитьAlthough it does munch, it’s much heavier than expected. I have a small patio with lots of leaves. Bag comes apart.
ОтветитьAnyone have issue getting the thumb screw to thread? I contacted Ryobi and they said just take it back to the store was hoping maybe someone knew what the trick was before I go to that trouble.
ОтветитьI have a corded one by Worx. It shreds leaves down to a pulp and shreds small twigs without a problem.
ОтветитьJust seems like a wet/dry shop vac would work better. I mean, it looks like it didn't shred up much at all when you emptied it into the bag.
ОтветитьWell, it certainly does suck.
ОтветитьThanks for the review! I like the concept and I agree with your points. I am going to go ahead and pass on this product because the neighborhood loves to have their dogs poop in my yard. Soooo....yeah.... definitely passing and will see if the blower would be a good fit. Thanks again. I enjoy your videos.
ОтветитьYou have to hold it more upright so your arms feel the weight because the snout is way to long, suction is better when snout opening is like sealed to ground. I would like for my arm to hang not to feel weight of unit and bag filling.
ОтветитьA stem from my mums got caught in the vacuum, the stem is less than 1/8" thick, it passed through the fan but i can still feel suck when I put my hand in the output. It stopped the machine and it won't work. I have to get some extra long hex keys to try to open the machine and try to fix it, if I do get it fixed I wouldn't use it to vacuum anything other than very small leaf piles, that I am sure have no other debris.
ОтветитьI have a lot of pine trees, how does it do on pine needles and what if it sucks up a pine cone, will it damage it?
ОтветитьAlot of people don't like them... I think they're really good.
ОтветитьI hope you took the battery out when you did that with the blade. I have a Ryobi blower that had an issue with the switch...it would stay on even when NOT pressed...very dangerous if that should happen. Now I always take the batteries out of all my tools when messing with the blades or drill bits or whatever, first.
ОтветитьGreat video! Finally someone gets right to the point. Thank you
ОтветитьHow long does it run?
ОтветитьThanks for the review!
ОтветитьI was wondering how tall you are that the strap was a fail? Am 5'3 only so maybe I can use the strap as am low to the ground
Ответитьjust bought one today, can't wait to try it my yard needs it!
ОтветитьGreat 👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьBasically every generation of leaf vac is an improvement over the last. I've used them all over 20 years so far. The Ryobi units are the most user friendly.
YES !!! They do sell extra bags, buy 1 or 2 and keep them as clean and dry as possible and take extra care with the zippers. (The weakest link, as it were !)
There's a knack to knowing when and where to use a blower or a vac and they radically improve landscaping maintenance time... HTH. 😎👍
This particular model IS "The Best" to date !
Thank u!))!)!
ОтветитьGreat review - thanks!!
ОтветитьI just returned this unit. I didn’t find it very useful.
ОтветитьI had a Toro & the bag had a zipper on it, which kept coming apart. Have you had any problems with the zipper. Great video!
ОтветитьBeautiful backyard. Love all those trees. I have a similar problem. My avocado tree drops leaves all spring and summer. My regular trees and neighbors trees all fall. So, I get lots of leaves as well.
ОтветитьI have a corded leaf vacuum from a different brand that works well (but I am looking to go cordless), and I’ve found sweeping the leaves with a leaf blower first really helps. Even If you don’t blow them into a pile, just shifting things around helps loosen them up from the ground, especially if they’ve been rained on.
ОтветитьRake the leaves into piles and vacuum them, that’s how is supposed to be used and it will make the job much easier. :)
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat job showing the unit in use. Demonstrating how to remove sticks in blower give me confidence my wife can handle the task.
ОтветитьBeen trying to buy one but can't find a Home Depot that sells it despite calling their main office. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьYou can buy extra bags for it, just google this part number HM-205110001
ОтветитьIn the uk we have a portable hoover thats made just for dog poo but its a £1000 fine if you dont pick up you dogs poo if it poos on the street or on the park of other places thats how bad it was but now i never see any dog poo so the fine issue must be working, also its funny but bit gross seeing a dog do a fresh poo then someone picking it up with a plastic sandwich bag and then putting it in their bag or pocketwhen its still warm ( err gross ) but it could be good on a cold if your hands get cold you could just put your hand / hands in you pocket to get them warm again make sure the bags tied up otherwise you will get a pooy whoopsie
ОтветитьI just bought this house and my HOA wants to fine me for leaves that have fallen on my gravel. I was trying to see if this tool was worth the price 🤔
ОтветитьBeen after one of these for a while thanks for sharing 👌👌
ОтветитьI'd be interested in seeing a video on your impressions of that lawnmower. The fact that it folds up and doesn't need gas are two very desirable traits. I'm curious if it has enough power to do a good job and if the battery lasts long enough to do your whole yard.
Ответитьwhat if you raked the leaves in to a pile and vacuumed them, might be able to see sticks better, also have you hosed out the bag and hung in the sun to air dry? even better if you could turn inside out, but not sure that is an option. maybe use a hose sprayer bottle [ like the ones that spray grass feed.and mix with water ] and add a bit of oxide clean or dish soap , might help. just a. few suggestions
