Whether Assange is a journalist or not is irrelevant when one looks at the country seeking to extradite him and the Jurisdiction he was in when he broke their laws. The US laws cant stretch outside of their borders and territories borders. Unless one is to suggest that Sweden and the UK is a territory of the United States. National laws won out at the end of the day. If Assange was in the US and was a US citizen or in possession of a Visa when he broke the laws he might perhaps have been able to be charged.

Julian Assange is more of a journalist than the vast majority of The Telegraph's contributors. And yes Farage was correct – because he is saying the same things all the "broadsheets" and the damnable BBC/Ch4 were reporting back in 2012-14.

Kamel Ahmed keeps saying those on the boats are fleeing persecution and in fear of their lives. I looked on the foreign office website and it does not have France down as a country that is considered unsafe or dangerous. I noticed Camilla never challenged this assumption once, which doesn't surprise me as her One Nation Tories have used mass migration to help the big multi nationals keep wages down and inflate profits, from that the Tory party gets some lovely big donations. Also when leaving Parliament there are some nice directorships available.
