This video blew my tiny mind.
ОтветитьI was always under the impression that oolacile was a bit aways from Gwyn and Anor Londo. It looks like it’s right down the street lol Gwyn could of went and stopped Manus himself, is it canon that we killed Manus and that’s why Anor Londo and Gwyn didn’t have to go fight Manus after Artorias was defeated?
ОтветитьI always thought this was true, but I had no idea how much more similarities there are
ОтветитьIts surprising to hear that Chester was able to steal Artorias' Wolf Ring even though Ciaran was present and escaped that far away to where you found the ring in Darkwood Forest
He probably tried to escape by climbing the mountain and met his end there, but his corpse was too far up for Artorias' companions to reach it
HYDRA JUMP SCARE - - - HYDRA JUMP SCARE
ОтветитьThe internal name for Dornhall of Zema is also "Marvelous Chester".
Ответить150 hours later and I am just finding out that Oolacile is the Dark Root garden in the past
ОтветитьChester is the corpse we find in Darkroot Garden holding the Wolf Ring. Probably Alvina NGO handled his ass because he is a grave robber. His bottomles Homeward Bone and HUMANITY stash suggests this. Even his name screams robbery. Maybe Chester was Alvina's first job.
Ответитьctrl c + ctrl v
ОтветитьI needed this video to pan out my journey to the cat area so I could pet the roly poly cats. Thanks so much. 😆
ОтветитьHonestly this makes me miss Chester, I wish From would call back to him. Like they made the guy look totally out of place, gave him a unique moveset and then seemingly ignored that he ever existed past ds1. We get nods to characters like Tarkus and Kirk in Ds3, but nothing for Chester, shame.
ОтветитьBeing so familiar with the landscape, this really felt like going back in time, nice video
ОтветитьThouggt it was pretty obvious
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьMuchísimas gracias a quien aportó los subtítulos al español para asi poder disfrutar al 100% de este interesantísimo video~
ОтветитьAlso Farron Keep in the future
ОтветитьWhoever built those wooden ladders should have built the rest of the world, it would never fall apart.
ОтветитьChester never made it back to yarnham😔
Ответить"Oolacile is Darkroot in the past"
No sh1eet i thought it was Lost Izalith bro!
That's crazy I never knew this I subbed
ОтветитьChester spoke about being pulled from another time & realm by Manus. Maybe after Manus's death, his dark magic subsided, and Chester went back to his original home Yharnum...
Ответить@chadofastora This is incredible! Makes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC even more amazing.
ОтветитьThis is some deep lore indeed
ОтветитьImagine your game bugging out where you have to fight the four kings. Then Manus shows up at your back Mid fight 😂😂
ОтветитьOolacile makes amazing dubstep
ОтветитьThat Ending with the crickets was so somber and peaceful, really great touch..
Ответитьwas it ever a question if they were the same or not?
ОтветитьThis really puts a new perspective on Alvina and the forest hunters. We technically only see her a little in the chasm of the abyss, but it‘s safe to say she lived in Oolacile. She wants to protect what little remains of her home and preserve the dignity of all the poor souls who fell with Oolacile
ОтветитьGood stuff, if you woulda said the floating humanities turned into the dark wraiths I would started crying. Amazing video by the way.
ОтветитьBoss: Hey guys, we need a DLC idea. need to sell well
Employee: How about a DLC that takes place in the same location but in the past? Players will think this is really cool of us, as we reuse a lot of the assets and level design saving money at the same time!
Boss: You are a genius! Promoted!
For some odd reason, the line "Alvina was given a bath" had me in STITCHES. Makes me picture her yowling and hissing as a bunch of Silver Knights try their darndest to get her into a large wooden tub of soapwater, and it absolutely sends my sides into orbit.
ОтветитьIt's really depressing to see what happened there because of the abyss
ОтветитьDoesn't Chester make it back to his timeline and gets killed by a lesser amygdala
ОтветитьAnything interesting about out of bounds Anor Londo in the DLC?
ОтветитьI love how From gets away with re-using shit man
Like i genuinely enjoy the reasoning here
All those drastic displays of the passage of time like the old, dilapidated undead burg which doesn't even exist yet in the dlc raises the question: how old is Sif exactly?
ОтветитьI love the work they did for this even tho most players wouldn’t even notice the slight changes.
ОтветитьThat cut dialogue about Chester is mind blowing. I'm glad you gave me 30 seconds to think about it
ОтветитьDamn, I hadn't realized this at all when playing the game.
ОтветитьThis video is strangely beautiful.
Ответитьmost people disagree but I felt the demon ruins in DS3 were handled pretty well - the evolution of the dungeon ecology with the Ghru taking over was done well, zero dialogue that explains it - you just discover it naturally through gameplay
I’m not sure why the community didn’t really seem to agree
in other games the community would have been screaming about “reusing assets for paid DLC” - FromSoft used it to enhance the story, you can see the care in the subtle details they changed
This is the difference between being cheap and being efficient 💡
Subbed.
ОтветитьChill.
ОтветитьI just wonder what event can destroy oolacile town completely in modern days. So there was no structure or ruin in modern darkroot.
ОтветитьGreat work!
