Do I need a the other board that this camera board sits on?

I am not understanding what code you flashed the module with. it is not clear on my laptop screen, I have not worked with Arduino. I have some learning to do.
Also since they don't make 5volt batteries I need to power it up with 6v bat, and a solar charger Is 6 volts going to be too much supply power for the board.

I need a camera to monitor my remote mailbox that i 250 feet from house. This video gave me ideas also. I need one to monitor my Mail box. I have experience with ESP01 for controller christmas lights. Maybe I can get one of these esp32Cam modules and make it work with the help of this video. Showing the wire connctions helps immensely. I don't believe that I need a light to shine as I want the camera to operate in hidden mode.

Can I monitor the cameras through a android phone?

It works only on the same network. If my computer is connected to a network and the camera is connected to another network then it's not working.

Batery energy problem

According to all my testing as well as several forum posts, this code is no longer working. The ESP library no longer supports this code since a recent update. Which is unfortunate since this is a really cool looking project and I would love to try it. primarily it is missing several files or libraries that are not included in the ESP board manager linked above. Additionally when a necessary library is linked, the program runs into conflict with pieces of the library.

Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken but it's been a frustrating couple of hours to try and get this seemingly simple and elegant code working.

Now I wanna know how to sniff these cameras so if I'm ever staying anywhere away from home I don't have my privacy invaded.

Interesting find. I can see that there are a lot of sellers offering this product on-line. What one can immediatly realize is that this one works with the OV2640 Camera. Since I am very sure many of us have a lot of cameras in their old phones that are orders of magnitudes better than the OV2640 Camera, I am curious to know whether there are dedicated boards for running better cameras, from Samsung for instance.
