I think the most horrifying thing about this video is how uncomfortable her 8 year old was. She looked so embarrassed and uncomfortable to the point that her mom kept feeding her the words she wanted her daughter to say. That definitely makes it seem like this is about what the mom wants and not what her daughter wants. I don’t support this, but if an 8 year old truly wants to breastfeed and the mom is ok with it, keep it at home. The fact that her parents posted a video of their 8 year old daughter breastfeeding is embarrassing and cruel. Posting that was a great way to ensure that she gets bullied. Not ok.

Perhaps this is the way things are done in Belgium. As a big fan of that country, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Breastfeeding can be a wonderful experience at any age.

I think the bigger issue here is the parents complete lack of empathy about how this video could affect her daughter! It is not about breastfeeding but putting the private issues of the family and more importantly the little girl out there for everyone to see and judge! It is just selfish and self serving. As are most parents who exploit their children for likes and viral vids!

You can breast feed your children all you want, you should just try to use some discretion. Also there are children who need mother’s milk for a proper digestion, because their mother is dry of breast milk and they have trouble digesting comercial milk. Don’t be selfish if you have such an abundance of milk share it with children who are weak and their mothers can’t breast feed, instead of drinking it yourself. There is a limit to our selfishness!!!

I am all for breastfeeding but my limit is maximum 3 years old because that's what Who recommends. After the age of 3 the kids and older toddler doesn't get any nutrients from the breastmilk as newborn and infants get. Breastfeeding a 8 year old is really creepy and unhealthy because that kid is too old to be breastfeeding like a baby. But it is fine to Try the breastmilk once or twice out of curiosity. But it shouldn't not be an older kids main food or snack. A kid older than 3 needs to get their nutrients and vitamins from toddler acceptable foods. Such as mashed vegetables. Fish. Chicken etc.
