Speaking as a Catholic, I found it strange that on this supremely historic occasion as the first American Pope - this priest from Chicago chose to NOT speak a single word of English on the balcony! How about something like 'God Be With You!' I am also troubled by his social media posts. He seems to be more bothered by Vice-president JD Vance than say, abortion, or the Communist Chinese Party that enslaves and even kills its people! He is said to have been close to Pope Francis who was considered very liberal, even Socialist. Is he Francis 2.0?

Great! They've selected their next idol! This is what catholism is. It's all about idolatry! They pray to not one GOD but many gods! They have many saints' lined up that they pray to not to mention mary and baby jesus and the jesus still nailed on the cross. They even have the burnt jesus in some country during what they called or made up, the black nazareth! smh. John 14:6 in the Bible says clearly that Jesus is the only way to reach God the Father, the source of all truth, and the path to eternal life. This is what happen if do you not seek GOD on your own and just rely on religion and tradition. The outcome? There's no relationship! For example, try knocking into someone's house and ask to be let in just because you know their name and you see that person at some events! Do you think they will open their door for you and invite you in? NOPE! They will probably tell you to leave or just not open their door or they might call a cop on you! Matthew 7:21-23 - Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, ‘Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ 23 Then I will tell those people clearly, ‘Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you. Not just catholics but many christians alike are on that same path, following the masses! Prove me wrong!

To say Pope Leo XIV is “too American” to be Pope is to misunderstand both the Church and America.

The United States is not a nation born of secularism. It is a nation born of natural law — the very same Catholic natural law taught by Augustine, Aquinas, and Bellarmine. While the Founders were not all Catholic, they drew deeply on a tradition that was.

As Catholic scholar Timothy Gordon has shown, the framers of the U.S. Constitution referenced Catholic natural law principles no fewer than 166 times in the Constitutional debates. These were not Protestant or Enlightenment abstractions — they were concrete, scholastic ideas:

That law is rooted in eternal truth, not state will;
That liberty is a gift of God, not government;
That the human person has inherent dignity, and governments exist to serve that dignity;
That subsidiarity, justice, and natural rights are moral obligations, not policy preferences.
The Declaration of Independence itself echoes Aquinas more than Voltaire:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident…”
…because they are written not by man, but into man — into his heart and conscience.
Thus, when Robert Francis Prevost — a son of Chicago, born in one of the Northwest Territory states Thomas Jefferson forever forbade slavery in — steps into the Chair of Peter, he does not bring American ideology. He brings American fidelity to Catholic moral order.

Pope Leo XIV is not a foreign body in the Church. He is a convergence of its global tradition — where the natural law of Rome, the freedom of the New World, and the missionary service of Peru meet in one man.
