How obvious something is to use first time is not particularly meaningful. If it's a real problem for you, it's worth learning. If it's the best after you've figured it out, it's the best
ОтветитьDoes it beat out a more traditional infuser? Obviously, yes! No tea leaves stranded in your cup
ОтветитьWhy does he look like he has a gun pointed at him to present this.
ОтветитьThat jar opener thing is a total waste of time, I was excited to see it at first thinking it was a can opener. But if the purpose is just getting that lid to pop, there are other gadgets that are 100% simpler, we have one it’s smaller than a spoon but thinker and has a metal hook thing, and it’s done in a second. Also I feel like the people who would need to use it all the time would be people who have difficulty using both hands so this product would be of no use to them
ОтветитьFor opening jars, all you need is a rubberband. Wrap it around the lid, grip, and twist.
ОтветитьI love your dry sense of humor!
ОтветитьI wonder if the Slicex would be more effective used turned the opposite way, with the slot at the tip of the knife. Use would be to push down and away. That way there’s a guide for the knife. Still not sure how easy it would be to hold the unit to stabilize.
ОтветитьIt would have been nice to do the oil test on your bare hands trying to open a jar vs oil on hands and using the quopener.
Ответить🥄
ОтветитьI’d give the can opener a higher effectiveness score. Does it do what it’s intended to do.. Yes. Usability, 3.5 is fair, placing the device and using it seems awkward as an observer.
ОтветитьOne thing to consider with the final press, at least tea wise, is that pressing/crushing the leafs can dramatically alter the flavor (depending on the leaf) and can make the tea bitter. Tea brewing is a bit of a delicate process when it comes to loose leaf teas.
Ответитьsome of these look very impressive for people who has disabilities or dexterity/strength issues.
ОтветитьLupus locks up my hands sometimes. I'm considering the jar opener.
Ответитьas an industrial design student, i wish he was one of my teachers! :'D
ОтветитьFor a lot of teas you can do a quick rinse with your brewing water to get rid of the dusty parts without losing any flavor
Ответитьthe total infusion time for the tea/ coffe is not only about the color, including for different amounts of time leads to different tasting tea.
ОтветитьI'm kind of amazed by the jar opener, it may be kind of complicated to figure out, but once they understand it, it would really help somebody who has arthritis.
ОтветитьLooking at ridiculous stuff like Quopener, I sometimes wonder, how many billions of views would get a video, where somebody would share with the world the long-forgotten secret of quickly and easily opening the hard-closed jars using the can opener.
But no, the world is not ready yet.
That tea press is a horrible thing... DON'T PRESS YOUR TEA.... unless you really like aggressive bitter flavours, because that's what you press out when you squeeze already brewed leaves.
Ответитьand i thought that is some kind of screwdriver lol
ОтветитьThe Final Press needs to be done with coffee. That would be a better test.
Ответить.
Ответить"raw toast"
ОтветитьWatching this series has made me so much more considerate about folks with disabilities, their needs, and why some gadgets may exist. Thanks, epicurious and Dan!
ОтветитьFlat side for the peanut butter and the concave on for the jelly. Dude got outsmarted by a spoon, ffs. I wouldn’t trust him to design a glass of water. 🤡
ОтветитьI guess the slice-x was designed with one hand overtop the thing pushing the back of the knife down? Not great technique but still
ОтветитьPeople are out here using butter knifes and I'm using a spoon so I can eat the leftover peanut butter. 😂
ОтветитьWe love you Dan! Never change ❤
ОтветитьThe slicer got ranked that high which created new problem? 2/5 - it deserves a 0.
ОтветитьThat jar opener looks useful. I don't think I have terrible grip strength, but I have come across difficult to open jars before, and my favorite brand of salsa comes in jars that are consistently, horrendously difficult to open, so much so that I actually stopped buying that brand. And anyway, that gadget reminded me of it.
ОтветитьI think that the peanut butter spoon was designed to use when the jar is almost empty to scrape what a knife can not get.
ОтветитьThat slicing gadget seems like an absolute menace. Not only solves a problem that doesn't exist, but does so in a dangerous way.
ОтветитьThe Quopener seems like a very clever design. Yes, it is not at all intuitive from what I can see; but, who cares? Once you learn how to use it, you should be set.
I am uncertain of how well the FinalPress would work for coffee.
There's people that spread the jelly ON the peanut butter???
ОтветитьThe Quopener has a really good idea, but it's ruined by a design that is just a mess to look at. Honestly, if they just made it two clamps that have sorta flexible handles so you can grip both in one hand, I think it would be much more straight forward and easy to use.
ОтветитьSerious,y? Peanut butter spoon? It’s called a silicone spatula.
ОтветитьRaw toast lol
ОтветитьThat jar opener seems really nice actually. I really like that it's not just another lid gripping device, but also grips the jar.
ОтветитьI think the slicer thing requires a longer knife to work as intended.
Then you kan rest the tip of the knife in the v-part at the far end of the thing while lining it up with the slot in the near end.
Also, I would hold my off hand over the back of the knife, grabbing the thing across the top, safely way from the knife's edge. The same way you would hold any long vegetable while splitting it lengthwise.
The design of the thing should suggest that grip though.
I’m just impressed the producers found five kickstarters that actually delivered
Ответитьwhy is the table decorated with glass of money?
Ответитьjustice for the jar opener!!
ОтветитьI disagree with pretty much every thing in this video. Feels like he's doing that 90s infomercial "failed attempt" gag and only adds "better design" by adding unnecessary stuff eventhough it works just fine if you used it as intended
ОтветитьI remember Kickstarting the Midnight Scoop. It was a very well made product.
ОтветитьMore dum gadgets, wtf people are really buying this crap?
ОтветитьRaw toast also called uncooked bread
Ответитьgod this guy is just so reasonable
Ответить"Let's talk about a redesign. As we can see, this product has no utility, so let's just throw the idea out and come up with an entirely new idea."
