I ran, swam,hiked, did aerobics and some weights in my 20's-40's...then continued running and walking and stretching through my mid 50's.
Covid set me back, but if I hadn't mostly been fit through those years..I think my work would be so
much harder now. I'm trying to work in my 60's . My job is on my feet and very physical. I pray I'm still able to move around well until the day I pass, but I'm very grateful for exercise, glad that I pushed through when I was younger. I find I've had to improve my nutrition continually as the decades go by. We have to take care of our only bodies. My mother said 'have moderation in all things, and keep balance in your life.' I would add .. pursue God.👍

Thanks for your encouraging words. As an exerciser I find this practice to be s medicine and a tonic. After about six weeks exercising I reach a peak and my body tells me I need a break. After about two or three weeks I am more relaxed and normal, then I can return to my workouts. For me you don't exercise nonstop, your body or fitness will reach a peak where you have to stand down and rest. Thanks again for your article.

Thanks for posting, but gotta say the background music is very, very annoying - it competes with your content. Really damages the impact. Honestly, it makes your videos borderline intolerable to listen to.

I'm exercising I feel better my asthma has calmed down I sleep better hardly any sleep apnea. I feel great and my jeans fit loose and no longer upset that I can't lose the fat..I'm 43 and feeling better than I did a year ago.

1) improves mortality (life longevity);
2) heart issues, less risk of heart-attacks, cardiac-death, improved overall blood pressure
3) helps lower insulin levels (less likely to get type 2 diabetes, if you exercise); sound nutrition also helps
4) Prevention of Cancer: less likely to develop breast, colorectal, intestinal, prostate, endometrial, or pancreatic cancer
5) less likely to become obese; also will help with weight loss, good nutrition plan also helps
6) decrease the chances of osteoporosis and fracturing your bones (with weight training): increases bone mineral density
7) helps you to quit smoking
8) helps prevent forming gallstones (in gallbladder... prevent infection/cholecystitis)
9) improves cognition (keeps your mind sharper/stronger)
10) reduces anxiety level and mental stress, (anxiety, depression...etc) (runners high...exercise high); surge of norepinephrine (similar to adrenaline)... dopamine (hormone), and serotonin (neurotransmitters) makes you feel good in the moment. Revert to your baseline but baseline eventually becomes higher; brain generally feels better more often

Such information should motivate us who are too inactive and sedentary to get up and exercise regularly, especially if we are in poor health and condition...Get up and go for a run, a cycle, weight train, walk, do some weight training, aerobics, calisthenics or sport.

Great valuable information, unfortunately most doctors do not understand the importance of exercise and nutrition, it's all about prescribing medication and not really treating the disease like Diabetes. my doctors just provided many warnings but no direct solutions only to cut back on your carb intake or prescribe more medication, You sre a great example for the rest who just pull out the prescription tablet.
