I think the best part of all this is going to be Jake's reaction when he see's this video. He has literally no idea! 😂
Next video release will be Nov 25th. See you then!
👏😂... "Extra delicate when cutting these threads...". Ahh hell... A lot of us may know that feeling I'm sure....
ОтветитьIf your mill clamp studs are too short (running out of threads?) you can also try putting a few washers under the nut to prevent it from bottoming out.
ОтветитьRe side project count:
IMO No1 is not a side project per-se more pre project SET UP.😉
JMTPW
the pattern is so far from minimalist
ОтветитьThat is awesome 👍
ОтветитьHas anyone noticed that he missed one cut in the pattern? At the very edge. Now I won't be able to get asleep
ОтветитьI personally wouldve put Jake's initials on the spine of the clip / wallet and continued the pattern in the brass onto the clip and made the look seamless. Aside from that, this is top notch. 😊
Ответитьcattywompus.. i haven't heard that since i was a kid
ОтветитьPlease don't voice over your videos just do the creation and make ASMR type of videos
Ответитьis no one going to point out that he missed a spot on the left side of the engraving...
ОтветитьI came across this channel 2 days ago(11/24/2023). The only downfall is that you don't have 1000 more videos to watch. But thankfuly, there's still more to go till im caught up to date. Thank you for making this channel and sharing with us your love for machining!
ОтветитьI just found this channel and I fell down the rabbit hole of binging your content
I absolutely love what you do and your humor is really funny to me. I love how you draw your ideas with your hands and then bring them to life with your expierence as an engineer. Also the brass you chose here looks beautiful
You earned a new sub
Love from Sweden
It's so nice that you show your faults and the side projects, which often seem to build on each other in a fractal manner! For me it seems like you are showing off my reality in the shop.
ОтветитьI still see a "1 year ago" tag on this video. So, im still set to binge for a little while longer. Lol
ОтветитьIf you want to keep the blue, you could go full ClickSpring and heat blue the brass before machining. Would be hella sexy!
ОтветитьHaven’t seen anyone freehand the technical drawing in a long time. Everyone I see uses CAD. Brings me back to high school when I took Technical Drawing Class so thanks for that
ОтветитьI don’t think I’ve ever heard someone use the word ‘cattywampus’ before
ОтветитьBreaking that tap caught me off guard and got a legit LOL... well edited.
ОтветитьYou must have been amazing at math in high school
ОтветитьI have the same initials, let me know if he doesn’t like it… 😝
ОтветитьThere was one word missing from this design - chamfers! 😂
Ответитьthis one was a pleasure to watch
ОтветитьThat hair tie is eew
ОтветитьI just realized that you have a warning sign with your face on it on the DRO machine. Nice.
Ответитьif someone has purchased the drawing and is selling the finished products pls tell me xD
Ответитьu didnt finish the pattern ....top left
ОтветитьRidge wallet be like: "no... we are supposed to sponsor you!"
ОтветитьSo you made a Ridge Wallet, ok, still an entertaining video overall
ОтветитьHi
I love watching these videos.
Not to be that guy but my OCD makes me see things…. You have an extra line.
Where is the ŵallet? Cant fimd it on yhe site
ОтветитьDuck tape is also good for making wallet. Been using same for years, flexibility allows to put money inside of it, no need for clip. Layer of aluminuminumium tape protects from RFID.
ОтветитьI dont trust those wallets, seems like overtime it would weaken and cards would start falling out, besides if someone found that out on the street there's an even lower chance they'll bother returning it.
Ответить2 hours for engraving?! You're making me love my Okuma more and more. That wouldve been 2 mins for a CNC machine. You have the patience of a saint
ОтветитьTime to use the blue on the inside of the design. To make it pop.
ОтветитьA proper minimalist wallet is just an elastic band I got from a "minimalist" wallet, throwing the wallet away as NOT minimalistic enough.
ОтветитьBeing more of a CAD & 3D Printing guy, i am absolutely astonished by the precision folks like you are able to achieve *manually*. But what always completely blows me away are your drawings.
And the humour and puns are also top notch. Thanks for being awesome! 🤗
Where can I buy your projects or blueprints
Ответитьwhy 4 washers? why not just a shorter bolt?
ОтветитьDid I see a blatant box of shame moment ignored with the fixture plate hole? Poor starving box...
ОтветитьLiteral art Brandon, well done 👏
Ответитьit would be neat if the face plate was brass, the main body blued steel and the clip stainless :D
hmm. after quick googling seems that brass can be black oxidised. it would be also a neat way to get the lines to pop out :D
neat
Ответитьi never had a brother but now i want one!
ОтветитьVery nice job. 👍
ОтветитьI love that "Cockxagon" Pattern. Really pretty, as always your drawings are a joy to watch.
ОтветитьIs jake's initials JHS or JAS?
Because my brother's name was Jacob and his initials were JAS, we were really close and 8 years apart(he was older).
He died of an overdose when I was 14 and idk i was just curious.
Not a single chamfer... wow someone must be asleep at the wheel. Just kidding, nice project
ОтветитьJust a rough guess, but approximately 4,000 is almost 50,000. (Probably closer to 3,200 max)
Also, as I progress further. Ef 2-56 holes. That is the only tap i am at 98% breakage with. Even including a drill press gizmo that is a clutch system that guarantees you wont break a tap. That specific size is a bitch. 0-40? Cuts like butta.
