Vanessa whatttt? You transformed for this role! What a chameleon! Was so amazing to watch. This role was everything.

This movie was everything and Vanessa was AMAZING from beginning to end. I was in tears from the moment she came onscreen to the very end, she really gave a powerhouse performance. Definitely an Oscar contender for this role, she deserves a lot more recognition for this because it definitely let the world know she’s more than Gabriella Montez or the chick from the Christmas Netflix movies.

What accent is she trying to do? It sounds like maybe she’s attempting a Brooklyn or Boston accent, but something is off.

This is me RIGHT NOW ,bouncing around ,feel like nobody really cares about me (as I don’t expect them to anyway) I was sleeping with random guys unprotected to try to get pregnant because I thought that would make them consider moving me in💔

This movie is one of my favourite movie. Why is it so underrated people are loosing taste on good movies. It's so heart touchy. Venesa did a marvelous acting.

I’ve been there

I cried just so much. I felt identified in so many ways. Especially when they (abusers) make you feel guilty and when you make yourself feel guilty. All of this was heartbreaking in a healing way. Honestly movies were my teachers in life and hence this amazing people that make it happen. I felt things so different. Because now I not only identify with her but with the other people around her, specially mom and dad.
You can clearly noticed how her mother did not get the same chances as the father bc of being a man at the right place. You can notice how hard it is to trust. It cost me so many years to trust. To actually trust in life bc life leave my soul and now I understand and see my healing journey with more compasion, this movie helped with that.

Omg this movie was so close to the life I lived. But she found peace and got help. I love this movie so much. Yall did such a wonderful job. I can't express in words the emotions it brought back. But to see her thrive. I was yelling and cheering like I was at a football game. This movie touches home for real. I can't even explain. Well done yall. Standing ovation. 👏

This is like the third time I've watched this movie and it's like the acting got worse I don't think Vanessa can play this type of character she doesn't do tough kid from the streets very well maybe she should have went in a different direction with the type of dysfunctional youth she was supposed to be in this film it's like the director told her to do an impression of Eminem

This move was good I don't know if it was the way Vanessa Hudgens was talking like the accent she tryna have or maybe trying too hard but when you watch the movie look at the way Rosarios character seemed real, authentic vs Vanessas... dk what it was I wouldn't necessarily say her acting or even the persona she was going for something abt her acting came off as phony where as Rosario was legit spot on portraying a drug addict, I'm a recovering heroin addict and I have lived in Detroits eastside raised in the seven mile "red zone" area and if i seen Rosario dawson portraying her character in this movie and I didn't know it was her I would believe 1000% she was either a big time crackhead, on meth, etc. But if Vanessa talked the way she did when apple showed up to her fathers home and explaining the situation i would be able to tell she was acting or trying to sound like someone she wasnt just like that whoa vicky girl lmao . But Vanessa is a good actress and this movie wasn't bad at all. Just wondering if someone feels the same lol
