Full frame magic isn't something you see. It's a usability, and for me boils down to low light / high ISO performance, and dynamic range limitations, inherited by that. I have both full frame and apsc Sony bodies, and as much as I love smaller / lighter apsc setup, it's far more limiting and far less forgiving in low light situations. The reasons are pure physics: you get much less light into the sensor, at the same time, all your focals multiply by 1.5, which means you also need higher shutter speeds. Surely, low density apsc sensor combined with good ibis might solve the problem, but I haven't seen a lot of these combinations recently.
ОтветитьLooks like a female cardinal not a robin..
ОтветитьYour virus disguised as a female robin toneh mind worm was successful, I hope you can live with yourself, I'll never be able to un-see that. edit: by the way, that icneumon wasp should have eliminated that cabbage moth the moment it entered the frame, try harder next time.
ОтветитьThis is my first video I’ve seen of yours, and, I don’t know you, and I don’t feel like even if I did in person, that I would ever understand you (and it’s a wonderful thing)
ОтветитьThey call it a crop, because it's crap. They call it full frame, cause its full of poop.
Ответитьi have the perfect camera for sale, and its a SONY!
ОтветитьAre we still doing this? Who cares anymore? Just get what you like and happy shooting
ОтветитьSize doesn't matter ...as long as you've got a big one. The S5 into the Ninja V gives you Full Frame, 5.9k RAW Prores 422 at 12 bit. The image is poetry. But keep in mind, if you point a 90k Alexa at a bag of laundry under a harsh midday sun, it is just going to look like a bag of laundry...shot under the midday sun. You have got to compose your shots, light and design them, paint the walls to match your actors acne, etc. Non of that has anything to do with the camera. The "cinematic Look" has nothing to do with the camera. All you want from the camera is maximum data capture... at Full Frame. Big one!
ОтветитьSo, purely for stills, no action, no bif, no sports, what do I want?
ОтветитьEvery single person here defending APS-C and M4T does not have a full frame camera. The ones who say they do are Munchkins sent here from the Lollipop Guild to defend all things small.
Ultimately, it's all about the light. We're selling light. And FF is simply better in that arena. People can talk about intangibles all they want, but when it comes to tangibles FF has the advantage.
MFT a dying system? Oh dear....
ОтветитьCanon "Jaundice Color Science"
ОтветитьXT5 vs a7IV what to choose?
ОтветитьI do exclusively photography and no video. I moved on from APSC to FF in 2020 and I don’t regret it one bit. I do love how much smaller APSC bodies are and how much cheaper the lenses are.
Bigger doesn’t make it better and it depends on the person’s needs and budget.
First time came across your channel. I liked your video. Trust me I do. I just couldn't watch till the end. I couldn't follow.
ОтветитьAll these nature footages are handheld or on a tripod ? Could be National Geographic ones !
ОтветитьHow high is this guy?
ОтветитьAs a fellow flat earther ;) I saw your mouse pad lol
ОтветитьIt's not the cameras, it's the lenses. Fast full-frame zooms are fucking heavy. Even an f4 midrange zoom is bulky. The only genuinely portable full-frame lenses are standard and wide-angle primes. One look at f2.8 Lumix zooms is all it takes to make the case for MFT. And if that's not racy enough, consider how fast you can fly with a Speedbooster and Tokina APS-C zooms, or for something truly special, the Leica f1.7 zooms. Even something as garden-variety as the Olympus 12-100mm f4 has no peer in the full-frame arena. The only thing MFT has genuinely lacked is high-ISO performance, a hurdle which was demolished years ago with the GH5s, and now the GH6. IMO, the MFT future has never looked brighter.
ОтветитьMan I’m really enjoying your videos. Have binged at least a dozen. Thanks for doing whatchu do!
Ответитьwhat country is this forest in?
ОтветитьJust get Nikon Z9 for vlogging.. 8K60P N-Raw crispness with ripped shoulders is what you want as a Real MAN ❤️🙌🏻
ОтветитьVery informative, great narration, love your comedy LOL!
ОтветитьI have never seen anybody saying so much interesting technical things in such poetic words and senstences. Keep going, I really like your channel, awesome :-(
ОтветитьYou give me Uncle Rico vibes 😆👍
Ответить"a female robin dancing in the forest"
no that's a cardinal lol.
Why is canon so warm on the ceiling compered to Sony and Fuji? Weird. It’s almost like Fuji and Sony are using two different white balances on the same scene, one for your face and another for the background.
ОтветитьSurreal means out of focus apparently...
ОтветитьWhere have you found flog2 breakdown? It hasn't for me
ОтветитьHe is pure fun.
So what was the conclusion? Is it worth it, to use m4/3 equipment?
That wasp was saving that butterfly from that Covid flower.
ОтветитьI recently tried on my EOS RP a magic lantern early build for c-log video and tried the first time using it.
At first i was suprised "how bad" it looks, but after editing it was SO MUCH BETTER than regular 1080p movie from RP
Since im not really interested in video, i hope for photographic usable ML versions to unlock the RPs potencial, but i really enjoyed testing c-log/one of these "professional" formats...
There are definitely advantages in image quality between DX format and Full Frame which have nothing to do with megapixels, but rather, in the physical size of the image sensor. However, the differences are hardly large enough to justify full frame, and the cost is prohibitive. You need to be a Mr. Narcissist Moneybags to justify it.
ОтветитьIt’s not a robin, it’s a female cardinal
ОтветитьCasey, if you can't afford a comb, just say so and I will send you one.
ОтветитьAll I want is a camera that takes amazing still pictures. I could not care less about video. It could not be there. I'm not going to blog nor vlog my faked perfect life and home, like a brain dead Kardashian. I take pictures for my personal satisfaction, not to get likes.
ОтветитьWtf 4min in still talking about video. Done.
ОтветитьIt’s not crop vs full. It’s APS-C vs Full calling it crop defines nothing. Neither does Analog define anything.
ОтветитьI just wanted to state that the " robin" that was dancing for you is a cardinal. Your commentary is very entertaining.
ОтветитьHave to tried that Sony's APs-C "Clear image zoom" for video..1-2 x at 4K not bad ..Agree I enjoy my XT3 more, less rolling shutter, but for video (only) wildlife..not bad. ..good for the dragon flies.
ОтветитьI know little about the matters discussed - but I am starting to get it…!,
ОтветитьCasey, have you ever considered having your viewers send in some wildlife shots that they took, and viewing them through your channel? Would that be good content? Just an idea, that I’m sure you have already thought about...
If you could see some of the shots that I have been getting, you may just have to scrape your jaw off of the floor... And I’m not trying to say that what I have is of the best quality, that is definitely something that I am trying to work on, hence the reason I been watching your videos.
"“Everything is blurry but her”
“You don’t have to explain these things logically,
You just do it, you pounce, and then deal with the aftermath afterward.
That’s what aftermath means”
“If ducks want to slowly travel through a swamp as a group,
You want to be there as a witness”
“My new hobby is waiting for dragonflies to fly away” hahahaa.
It is hard to find a Canadian as funny as you hahahaha! From Toronto here! :)
ОтветитьI think curently and in near future full frame will be the better option for some reasons - with the overwhelming amount of mirrorless cameras nowadyas and their shorter flange distances now you can adapt easily cheap old vintage glass, also in general mirorless cameras are lighter. My current FF camera is lighter that my previous NIkon crop DSLR. Also it's easier to produce wider range of fast lenses for full frame than for crop sensor. For example there is 14mm f1.8 AF lens for full frame, the equivalent for crop sensor should be 9mm f1.1, which is non-existant.
