I was super excited to try this new technique. It is really the coolest technique I have seen in a while. The possibilities are endless. I have so many ideas that I want to try using this type of technique. I sometimes forget that you can remove paint to create amazing effects just as easily as you can add paint. This technique was a great reminder that painting is so versatile and flexible; so be creative and explore.

Djamel Belghomari: I got this technique from Djamel. I was so fasinated. Please don't forget to check out his YouTube channel.

Esta técnica está copiada de un artista que vive en España: Djamel Belgomari y que ya la dio a conocer hace muchos años en España. Debería citarlo al menos por deferencia hacia él.
Pueden consultar su canal, es un artista genial

Far more than 3-D. SO much dimension. Can't get much more abstract than that. I can see it in metallics and iridescents. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting and unique! 😮 The stripes remind me of bamboo. It might be cool to add the colors, you plan to use for stripes, onto the balloon like you did with the magenta. It helps tie the background and the stripes together. Thank you for sharing your technique with us!

Too strange that artists are starting to do this. I’ve been doing this for 50 years and didn’t know it was a thing. Too cool

Fascinating! I've never been that fond of the balloon technique, but I've only seen it used with a LOT of paint and it kinda messes the whole thing up to me. But the subtle way you did it is really beautiful! And then the ribbons are inspired! Absolutely gorgeous finished product!

I usually don't look at these kinds of videos but yours looked very different in a good way. I'm going to see about painting a couple of little curtain shades out of heavy weight vintage cotton table cloth. Thanks so much for sharing the technique & for the 1st time you did a beautiful job! Gives me hope so for the 2cd time, thank you.
