Most Playstation Controllers Have This Problem.. But I Fixed It!!

Mine sticks when moved down.....opened green doors but still sticks.....what to do

Sometimes it can be just dust and things like that and if that's the case you can just use alcohol without having to open up your controller if not then you'll have to open it up and fix the stick drift directly by replacing the what's it called pieces under the sticks

I don't have stick drift my r3 just doesn't work when I need to actually press it I mean it can be pressed down but it won't work unless I angle it before pressing down I've tried to look for help but all I see is stickdriftstickdriftstickdrift videos

Idk what i did but my drift is reversed now, it was going up a bit but now it always wants to go down

my ps5 controller has just inherited stick drift, if its as easy as taking a ps4 controller apart this will safe me a good few pound without buyin a new controller as the modules are a peanuts to buy

Good video but info on putting white ribbon connector back was reverse for us ie gold on gold. My 12yr old son followed it but didn’t lose the drift.

missing the part where you remove the band from the touch pannel... can see in the video where he says to 'veerryy gently remove' the circuit board, you can see the video edit/cut shows it removed without instruction

You don't need unsodder the joint on the sensor wheel? You don't break it by flipping it over like that?

I took out both of them , turn it on and it still keeps drifting and no sensor wheels r not in ..... i put new ones in and still the same problem . Wat do i do now?

So I cleaned the potentiometers and put my controller back together but now my x button doesn't work. How do I fix this.

I put vaseline in the joystick because it stuck

Directions unclear...threw controller against the wall...fixed the stick drift but broke the controller and now there's a hole in the wall

Anyone seeing this video in 2022, Sony is fixing DS4 (PS4) controllers. You just have to pay for shipping, and it takes about a week or two

Quick tip

Don’t do it unless you have the required materials and it takes a lot of strength and have someone good with you who already opened a ps4 controller unless you wanna break it just like me lol

Be careful when doing this... Not all controllers have the same potentiometers (you called them analog sensors) and you can actually break the potentiometer if you open it like that... In some cases the potentiometer pins (legs) can break as well. So be very cautious when doing this.

For most people I would recommend just buying a replacement controller or having the potentiometers replaced by a professional.

Thank you so very much your video was or is a life saver I just replaced the sensors my sister ps4 controller on the left analog when gaming with the controller she had no control of the moment the sensor was bad I replaced the bad one with a new and she no longer has that problem thank you so very much

The majority of people who watched this video, was curious about how to disassemble their controller, but their afraid to do it because they might fuck it up, I don’t fault them, I feel the same way.

All 3 of my old and 1 brand new not only drift but on fps right stick jitter up to the sky . It is so severe on new controller it is hard to shut it off ..Good video

The only controller I’ve had stick drift on is my awful 3rd party controller. I’ve never had a single problem with a Sony controller on any PlayStation I’ve owned.

Took me about 30 minutes just to remove the screws...sooo great start 🙂
