Oddly before EA scooped up the rights to Porsche, there was also Porsche Challenge on the PS1 by Sony.
ОтветитьI really don’t get why car companies aren’t paying to have their cars in games. It seems like free advertising it makes no sense.
Ответитьafter 2 month forza horizon has alfa, fiat and lancia 😅
Ответитьjust coming here to drop a comment. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT PROBLEM, THIS COMMENT WAS POSTED BY ASSETO CORSA GANG
Ответитьalmost every dream car i have, i've driven in a game of need for speed or gran turismo.
ОтветитьTrack owners: "We want 3 times more than everybody else."
(*removed from game*)
Good thing they came to their senses.
They fr have no good Toyotas in Unbound? Yuck..
Ответитьnow forza does
ОтветитьSo that's why I can't drive an Infiniti G30
ОтветитьBut my favourite racing game (NFS Underground) does have my favourite car (Miata NB).
ОтветитьPosted just before fh5 added the Italian cars
Ответитьonly one doing their job is forza horizon 5
ОтветитьLittle did he know forza would bring on all those brands
ОтветитьFast foward from the time this video was made and now FH5 has Alfa, Lancia, Fiat. The next update is bringing new BMWs
ОтветитьThe 4 missing Italians were in this month’s DLC in Forza Horizon 5.
ОтветитьIt is funny that this video appears when fh5 just released cars from those brands 1 week ago
ОтветитьI just found this video after doing the whole Italian season in Forza XDDD
Ответитьreal cars are cool but all these licensing headaches are why beamng can do whatever it wants
ОтветитьWas project Gotham 1 and 2 ea owned? Porsches were in those games that were after 2000
ОтветитьGlad you pointed out the BS in the Toyota thing. People on the NFS subreddit still deadass believe that they just don't license their cars to NFS because of illegal street racing, not because of an exclusivity deal
Ответить"We've got to have MONEY ."
- Mr. Lickboot, Tom & Jerry: The Movie (1993)
Forza horizon 5 just released alfa romeo and Lancia
ОтветитьThis video aged well for forza
ОтветитьLove racing the little citroen c1 round in forza 4 😂
ОтветитьYeah that Porsche EA thing was bogus.
I loved NFS Porsche unleashed even though is was really RUF.....I can do it too lol
Forza 4 got it done with DLC.
Forza 7 snubbed Toyota hard. I think Porsche had something to do with it. They compete with each-other in the WEC.
Porsche was on the box.
My favorite types to race and or set hot laps is the real life race cars. I think Forza does the best at giving real fans of racing something to use repeatedly.
Also Forza MS has the most real world circuits.
A shame that RUF is gone from games nowadays. They've made new cars not based on Porsches, like the new BTR and Yellowbird.
ОтветитьToyota is a total hypocrite tbh in their stance against featuring cars in illegal street racing games. With their hypocrisy they should have also sacked Toyota cars in many famous Japanese games like the arcade only Wangan Midnight, as well as the upcoming The Crew Motorfest. The hypocrisy comes from one of their advertisements that actually shows illegal street racing.
But yeah, it's still a mystery...no one will really know.
Licensing also prevents realism in vehicle damage which is honestly quite painful especially for simulators that need actual mechanical and crumple zone damages to be portrayed accurately...
I remember Toyota saying at somepoint the reason they didnt want their cars in games cause everyone only wants their older cars and not their newer ones
Which logical if you only make econo boxes no ones gonna wanna just drive around a Prius when the 86 corolla exist
I hope I can get my Toyota Corolla
ОтветитьPlaying racing video games such as Project Gotham Racing 2 and Forza Horizon 4 made me want a Ferrari F40 in real life.
ОтветитьIt seems that the United Kingdom has zero tolerance for illegal street racing. And Ghost Games (now known as EA Gothenburg) is Swedish-based and they probably also have zero tolerance for illegal street racing.
ОтветитьOk, so Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 4 didn't have Toyota cars at launch. The Crew Motorfest and Forza Motorsport will have Toyota cars at launch.
Ответитьtoyota saying if u got the cars in a game or some kind of movie, then ppl wont buy em irl. meanwhile ae86´s prices: In recent years, the price of Toyota AE86 has been on a slight upward trend after remaining quite stable in the range of $10,000 to $20,000 for many consecutive years. Currently, If you want to buy a Toyota AE86, you must pay from $15000 to over $40000 depending on the model.
Ответитьnice the lancia and fiat brands appeared in fh5
Ответитьthe forza and Italy thing made my die of laughter. as of august 31st the current season or in game year is italy based adding alfa and the stratos
Ответитьlooks at Horizon 5 car list
Well this Video aged well...
The funny this is, if he has done research for this video, then he would have found out those manufacturers were already announced to return even before this video was uploaded
My Only Question Is: Where are the Skoda Cars in Forza Games?
ОтветитьThis is one aspect of game development that I am very sad is so secretive. There's just so much mystery surrounding car licensing procedurs for games. Projects like Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 are of particular interest to me, because I wonder just how exactly did EA convince brands like Bugatti and Pagani to not only feature their cars in illegal road racing and police pursuits, but also have quite a serious looking damage model and vehicular combat. I don't think just showering them with cash would be enough, since as far as I know sport and hyper car manufacturers are very selective of how their cars are portrayed in games, which is why we have rarely see Ferrari in an illegal street racing game.
ОтветитьGuess forza listened, they added all 3 of those manufacterers in the Italian Season update.
Ответитьeverywhere i go, i hear ratchet and clank music
ОтветитьAt the time of this comment, Forza has recently added Fiat, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo back into the game.
Unfortunately, they are festival playlist rewards. There is only two weeks left on the playlist so go get them while you still can
In nfs, you are running from the cops
In initial d, there seems to be no policing force
In WMMT series, the cops don’t chase after street racers, they only appear for roadblocks which the street racers abide by.
Meanwhile, in nfs, you crash into police, forcefully brake through roadblocks, and run from the cops.
It’s not street racing that is the issue, it’s more of the types of characters that provide the effect of running from the police.
Generalizing street racing is stupid, because there are actually characters such as the midnight club in japan which tried to effectively reduce casualties while racing, and disbanded because they didn’t reach their ultimate goal.
In America, things definitely would not have hone that way.
I can’t explain the other occurrences, but that is my hypothesis for this particular case.
Well now we got Lancia, Alfa and Fiat in Forza. Recycled models, upgrades (Delta S4 with only a turbo) and some of them sharing sounds. Thanks.
ОтветитьLol these Italian cars just came to Horizon 5 this week
ОтветитьI always cared about Porsche especially since childhood, always broke my heart that awsome games like GT4 and Test Drive Unlimited never had Porsche.. yes yes RUF is there but it's not the same, I love their historical models.
ОтветитьPorsche was somehow featured in GTR series tho
