my favorite campfire food is slab bacon on a stick, so yummy
ОтветитьYou wanna make your knives need less maintenance? Use the knife are you normally do to get the wood you are splitting started. Then turn the piece of wood over and rest the knife blade pointing upward while resting the blade against another log. Use your mallet, hammer or hatchet to pound the wood you are splitting downwards. This way you are pounding on the wood, not denting or distorting the knife blade.
ОтветитьGreat job!
ОтветитьYour sit down to enjoy the meal is the best.
ОтветитьWow…..those cheese steaks….mmmmm!!!! You could open a restaurant!!!! 😋😋😋😋
ОтветитьOur favorite campfire meals are ground bison in a potato, carrot & onion skillet-a bit like your hash.
The simplest and another favorite is cutting up a salad ahead of time & cooking any kind of steak over the campfire. We slice the steaks and serve them over the salad greens.
Thank you for sharing your amazing and unique campfire cuisine. Now I’m starved!
That cat is the most dangerous predator in the woods
ОтветитьThis video makes your mouth watery and wants something to eat 😋😋😋

ОтветитьYou guys are super cute, I’m definitely starting to cook by fire and iron, thanks❤

ОтветитьYou guys got me starving haha. Can't wait to make my first cast iron meal on the new homestead next spring 😍
ОтветитьWished I had one of those philly sandwich. looks delicious.
ОтветитьAnother thing you can try for a great breakfast with your awesome biscuits...while the biscuits are cooking...you can make creamed eggs. (That was what my mama called them.) Many folks call them golden rod eggs. Hard boil however many eggs you may want for you two 4 would be good. (If you have freshhhh eggs...do NOT use these for boiling...ask me how I know this...bahaha...I did once and basically when you peel those jokers all you will have left is a yolk!)super Fresh eggs do not peel well. A little age...maybe a week do soooo much better.
Make a rue...(use your moose tallow and flour) cook this for a few minutes...stir it and sort of smear it around in your pan (because it makes an almost ball of dough) but make sure you cook the flour well. Then add your milk (you definitely need milk for this one, I have never done half milk half water)...I'd say about 1 to 2 cups, cook this, salt and pepper to taste. Chop up your peeled eggs and add to the mixture.
Serve over top of delicious hot biscuits or some of the wonderful toasted bread those steak sandwiches were made with!
It's one of my favorites and always makes me think of my mom. ❤️
When I was a kid (I’m 73 now) my mom made biscuits that way when we were camping yum!
ОтветитьGasp “my chair almost fell back”
“lol because I built it”

ОтветитьAlthough we rarely eat grains, we enjoy a modified haggis:
* night before, we soak the measured oatmeal in its measured cooking water... plus a splash of vinegar to dispel the phytic acid (lectins, a naturally-occuring inherent pesticide produced by plants).
* next morning, we brown seasoned ground meat -- elk, beef, goat.
* we roughly combine the two in a bowl.
Serve hot!
We prefer to stay in keto.
Accordingly, our ingredients are keto/Paleo.
Our pancake mix uses a tapioca and almond flour base.
We adapted this base for:
* empanadas
* crust for shepherd pie.
For a nice visual browning with a fun 'crunch', delicately blast it with the propane torch.
It looks good
ОтветитьYummy
ОтветитьYummy
ОтветитьWhat is your source of milk.? Do you buy it from outside.?
ОтветитьGreat video. Is there ingredients amount list for cake . Please . Thank you 🙂
ОтветитьHoney...place big skillet or put on fire.put small rocks inside big pot or skillet. Set your baking pan on the rocks with your mixture. Cover it with a lid. Put hot coals on lid top. Wait for your cake to cook. Take off hit coals on top. Lift off lid. It works like a stove. Bakes things
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьLawd those hashbrowns look delicious. 🤤
Where are yall at? Let me come visit! 😂 ill help cook but i dont have much to offer compared to what you two are out here cooking.
Howd you make the bread for the phillys? I make homemade phillys but i buy hoagie rolls. Those looked delicious. I also usually use roast beef from a deli. Which is good. I have used steak. Ive also used ground beef.
My favorite to cook is lamb chops and brussel sprouts.
Excellent

Ответитьtri tip and potato salad and beer best camp meal too me
Ответитьthanks but self rising flour water and oil all u need for biscuits gots to put the egg on the biscuits like a sandwich not in the doue
ОтветитьWhat’s the difference between your biscuits and rolls? As an Australian, biscuits for us are sweet and generally had with a cup of tea/coffee or as a treat. Here you have biscuits n gravy but they look just like the rolls. It all looks heavenly delicious 🤤.
ОтветитьI think you need a couple of goats, for the milk and you could make simple cheeses.
ОтветитьSir that looks amazing....I am just now getting back to my roots from growing up in West Virginia and trying to pass some of that on to my kids
ОтветитьWhy is seeing a masculine guy cooking over a fire, so freak'n hot? 🔥
ОтветитьI am so looking forward to breakfast tomorrow morning .... thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI owned a company called The Philly Cheesesteak Company here in the UK. YOU GUYS NAILED IT, I want/need a Philly now!

ОтветитьI've never seen anybody make gravy like that. Lol It looks good.
Ответитьi like to make bannock and wrap it around weiners lol cook on a stick.. and a nice dutch oven cooked chili!
ОтветитьCamping with cast iron. A bit of an anathema to me, cast iron will never see the inside of any of my ruck sacks. Or be schlepped around by me either. Titanium yes! Ha ha! I enjoyed this vid though, really good food, the kind I’d love to eat whilst camping but never have, or will, probably. Thank you.
Ответить🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
ОтветитьArielle is shaped like a Coca Cola bottle! It’s a compliment think Marylyn Monroe. I’m a black woman and we admire a waist to hip perfect ratio 💖🤗
ОтветитьI love this, it's like living in Northern Canada... Nothing like cooking in the snow in the bush...
