Once a man in a store was staring at me when I was a teenager. I picked up a towel and made eye contact with him and petted it like an animal. He immediately came over and escorted me out of the store. He was off duty shopping with his wife. All I did was pet a towell like it was a cat.

They shouldn't have told Ganter about the video until he'd committed to his story in a sworn written statement. Cops always help each other out, even in cases like this where they're supposedly cracking down on the bad apple.

Different rules for cops breaking the law if it was the other way round you can bet the other guy would have been in cuffs on his way to jail not talking to his boss or union rep 😡

They say there's a few "Bad Apples" and were supposed to believe that nonsense. So what about the overly polite Cop who let this thug know up front it was on camera to keep him from making a false report? Another "Bad Apple." How about the Captain and the Union who he feels so comfortable calling knowing full well they will get him out of hot water? More "Bad Apples." The punishment sure didn't fit the crime because more "Bad Apples" sealed the deal. As a result, this danger to the community was put back on the city streets with this cities tax dollars to continue to wreak havoc. My understanding is he did lose his job at the school and was reassigned. Maybe they realized complaints he had probably received from parents in past weren't going to have much credibility anymore and no parent in their right mind would want this man at their child's school. The entire police system is rotten to the core. However, there are a few "Good Cops." You have to wonder how many of them quit because of the pressure to conform with the gang or how many are fired as a result of false accusations made by the "Bad Apples."

Phased out as an excuse , are you serious? If your phasing out and hitting people when you lose your cool then you have no business in law enforcement. Your just lying and its neither believable and makes you look totally incompetent.

I wonder what it feels like to know that even when you get caught red-handed abusing your power as a cop and assaulting someone you can always count on your corrupt Captain and Union to step in and save the day. Most of us don't have that protection in our jobs, we are actually held accountable and promptly fired. How any of them can wonder why we don't trust or respect them anymore is truly amazing.
