Agreed, that was a fantastic speech. Loved every second of it. What a top-notch guy; it'll be great when he returns to politics - we need more like him!

And I have to say I love that he mentioned Jesus. I was smiling when he said that! Even if someone isn't a Christian I think it's good to recognize that many of our good cultural traits come from our Christian heritage. So good on him.

Damien is the only kind of person that should represent Canadians and Canada in the parliament..... He is the perfect fit for the Conservative party alongside Pierre.... I'm in Alberta. I know that the people of Battle River - Crowfoot are extremely proud of Mr. Kurek. As is every Albertan. We have several MP's in this province that have integrity and Mr. Kurek stands high with them. Pierre Poilievre has big shoes to fill in that riding, but I know Mr. Poilievre will NOT let the people of Battle River - Crowfoot down.

I've met Damien a few times, and I'm sad that he's leaving, for now..... I hope to see him again in Politics. He IS a class-act! Plus, he really takes the time to listen to each person when they talk, and he responds honestly, and with humility. He will be missed.

Damien Kurek- An unselfish honorable man among men, a volunteer who put all Canadians ahead of himself. I think he should receive the order of Canada, when he was only months away from being eligible for his pension. From the Governor General's website, "The Order of Canada recognizes people in all sectors of society. You can nominate:
-Any living Canadian for admission into the Order. However, elected officials and judges are not eligible to be appointed while in office.

The only way the East will wake up is when we lose all of Albertas money

Sometimes I catch a moment or two of old clips of older politicians in the HoC, and I get the impression that they were truly from a different era. Mr Kurek gives me that same impression. I look forward to his return to parliament, and to see how he will undoubtedly continue to evolve as a true parliamentarian. History will remember the name, the Honourable Damien Kurek.

if you honestly believe that Damian Kurek stepped down for the good of the country then I have some ocean front property I can sell you real cheap in Manitoba! He stepped down because 1. He was told to by the real power people in the conservative party and 2. he was promised something really big that we'll hear about if Pierre ever does become Prime Minister...remember that name, Damian Kurek...he is going to be a senator or an ambassador some day...

I have spent the last while watching and listening to the MPs who have been elected to Government. Some were returning but most were just voted to be an MP. I was so encouraged by what I heard from all the MPs who spoke that I cried to see that there is great hope for this great Country Canada. We are truly blessed to have in Government all the MPs in the Conservative side of the House.

As I listen to Liberal voters say, "what did they offer him", i think this is the biggest difference between Liberals and Conservatives. As a person who is conservative, but actually got to mark an X beside Damien Kurek, I will say this. He stepped aside because he is principled and honorable, he did not do this for money, fame or anything other than believing in a vision provided by Pierre Poilievre. I will also be marking an X beside Pierre Poilievre in the upcoming by-election because I support this vision also
