There is another newsreel showing the same footage saying it was a Gestapo hq in liberated Brussels. Further, there is a hard to find newsreel that shows graffitti in French on the walls saying death to the Flemish traitors. Which narrative is the correct one? The period newsreels are notorious for outright lies. Their sole utility was as weapons of war. The word salad of the narrator supposedly explaining the makeshift firing squad makes it sound like he was flying high on an over dose of methamphetamine.
