King Louie is no Louis Armstrong, that's for sure.

Christopher watkin is a legend for all movies

Mowgli is lucky the louie is vegetarian

This song is a great modern rendition, but it just doesn't carry the fun energy to it like the original did, probably because king Louie here feels more like a giant mob boss than a monkey king. It's still a great song.

This scene highlights the problem with this movie; inconsistency.
The tonal inconsistency was bad enough, but a musical number coming out of nowhere in a movie that isn't a musical is just cringe-inducing.
Another reason the movie fails to live up to the original is because the characters lack the charisma and charm of the original cast. I mean, they turned King Louie into a tired old mobster trope and he leaves no impression on Mowgli's character.

i dunno why, but i remembered that in this song king louiie was throwing mowgli around

Walken was born for this role, Disney couldn't have gotten someone better
