I guess after the long search, I've finally found a place to stay.

I have nothing against your voice overs, don't get me wrong and please understand my feeling. Your voice sounds very flat EQ'ed. There is no feeling of life in it. No base frequency comes true, too many highs are in. I bet this voice is not yours, just modulated. I checked you on Fiverr and boy that is not pro. As I say I'm not trying to downgrade you, but I think you can do better. If you feel offended in any way, feel free to ban this message, even though it is to uplift you. A VO artist with so many rep can do better. With a 4k mic and a soundbooth, common. Give us a break and yes you will be angry, we all are when getting negative responses. I just felt I needed to tell you, you can do better, wallmart, Disney or not.

Glad I found your channel. I wasn't looking to start a profession in voice over, bit the advice is exactly what I was looking for.
I work with children, some struggle with reading, many with trauma ... I had the idea that it would be cool to voiceover story books used in the classroom. The younger ones would also cue into a voice they know and trust, more than a stranger.

Just curious, I've recently stumbled across your channel. There's a lot to sift through in terms of knowing the reality it's not an overnight success. Which is inderstandbale in a lot of things in life.

But has anyone asked what are the methodical steps to setup a voice-over environment? As in, check for a microphone first? Then audio equipment that would be compatible with said microphone, then figure out a sound booth last?

If anyone else would also happen to know what would be the best method, please fill free to chime in. 💛✨️

Hi Bill, thanks for the great tips on your channel! Do you have any thoughts on the impact of AI on voiceover industry? I see there is emerging technology that can create a digital copy of your voice. Could be pros (eg. VO artists licensing out their voice) and cons (eg. AI constructed VOs without human input)?

Hey Bill, been following you for quite some time. Love your down to earth practical approach to explaining all thing VO. I've got an odd and possibly interesting question for you. Have you ever used, or do you now anyone who uses ChatGPT to generate practice scripts for starting out in VO? If, so what recommendations do you have to maximise the benefit of using ChatGPT for beginner VO artists that don't have a portfolio yet?

My question is, your distance from your mic in this video..... Do you record your VO work from the same distance? For whatever reason I always feel like I have to be up on the mic/pop filter when speaking. It sounds good listening to you.
