One beam is enough in the center of the deck? Find it hard to believe that it will not twist.. Why two rim joists where they don't carry any weight? And where is the blocking between the joists?..
ОтветитьMy favorite part is that I own all craftsman tools shown. I know some will say I should invest in better but ive long since earned my $$ back in projects and things ive sold and they work flawlessly still.
ОтветитьIf your timber is treated why do you need the tape over the top of the timber. Thanks
Ответитьtoo close to the fence
ОтветитьQ😅.n. n, ñ. a, 😂

ОтветитьDoes the foundation shift over time?
ОтветитьWhat stops the concrete blocks from sink or shifting over the years?
ОтветитьBeautifully done ! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
ОтветитьNot me, staring at the trussy
ОтветитьWill this structure fine for 24' x 24' floating deck?
ОтветитьПотрясающе👍👍👍
ОтветитьBy far the most informative and detailed explanation of every step that I have ever seen, and I have watched several floating deck instructional videos. Not one comes close to this one. Excellent job sir, on both the deck and the video.
ОтветитьI built floating deck in Pa where we get lots of snow and frozen ground. Was skeptical at first, bu worked out great, still fine after 8 years!
ОтветитьFrom one homeowner to another, DO NOT BUILD A DECK AROUND A TREE.
Not a good idea
Permit ?? The permit crap needs to stop.. we need to take back our rights.
ОтветитьNice!!
Like someone said it's inspiring!
Very nice
Do you need that many deck blocks if you're using joist hangers?
ОтветитьWhy did you put so many concrete pier blocks why not just joist hangers on both ledger and beam ?
ОтветитьThat palm nailer is pretty slick!
ОтветитьClever way to get around that 18" setback--just put in some free-floating planters!
ОтветитьTotal cost: 10k 😅
Ответитьcould it sink ?
Ответитьcan someone tell me how far out does the joists hang out passed the concrete block?
ОтветитьBeautiful work sir!
Ответитьthis video was so inspirational, i will now build this very deck at my own home.
ОтветитьWhat about freeze thaw?
ОтветитьJoists are various widths.. if you want a flat deck, line the top of each one up with the top of the cross-member, then attach the hanger. You can screw another board on top of the joist and hang it on the cross-member while you attach the joist hanger.
Ответить100% Awesome!

ОтветитьHow did I get from videos of lions killing animals to this?
ОтветитьHome owner : "the deck was supposed to be attached to our house!!"
ОтветитьThank you for making this video!! It has helped our business Backyard Customs with our recent build. Very thorough.
ОтветитьI'm planning a somewhat smaller (roughly 5.5'x 12') floating deck next to the house. Do I need to use the Concrete deck blocks ? I ask because I have some 12x12 pathway bricks i'd like to repurpose as deck blocks. The deck will only need to support a small table couple chairs and a Grill. :) Your thoughts ?
ОтветитьThis is a 14'x14' deck, the deck blocks are about a foot in from the ends.
