Is it illegal to sell miners cards intentionally? Im not sure how that's a bad thing. Haveing people one or multiple pay thousands of dollars for thousands of GPUs is what I thought the intended function of selling someone something was. If they have a shortage isint that an indicator to make more to sell so everyone can be sold gpus? Then it would be a good idea for companies and people to buy the 2nd hand gpus with the generic 2nd hand gpu selling company doing the testing to make sure it can be sold as a fully functional gpu.

Hey, any ideas about the zotac rtx 3090 trinity OC. I came up with a great deal. It has been used for mining for 2 years though.

Problem with used GPU is that they're running it 24/7 365 non-stop, the fans will give up eventually.. So you better buy the replacement ahead of time just in case, my card after month of playing had their fan connectors burned, this didn't kill the GPU but I had to attach 2x 120mm case fans to it, since replacing the fans is meaningless.

Oh boy that's how little you saved? In my country an used 3070/3080/3090 from mining is probably 30% the price of a new one sometimes 25%. It's a no brainer

I have bought 4 used graphics cards, a gtx 770 lasted me a year, a fake 1050ti was fake but we got a refund, an rx 5700xt died in a week and an rx 570 I have been using for years. I think it really just depends on your luck

Just got a used 1080 ti, it was used for mining and its in perfect condition, the guy was pretty cool about everything, and the thing is i got it for about €150 which is pretty amazing, at least for me. Every other listing was selling them for €300 to €400, at least on the used market in my country

as a miner and gamer i wouldnt say it a bad thing for being a miner car but the person did they take care of it end of story. i but almost all used gpus i answer every question and check any card i sell i also clean my rigs every 6 month even my gaming pc most poeple just dont do maintain to anything that is the real problem in my eyes

I bought a 2060 super 8gb for 240$ without knowing it was mined, but it seems that I have a really bad cpu, ram and psu. Maybe that’s why it isn’t performing on its maximum, and the fans rattle when they turn faster 😢

Don't buy mining cards.

I like the deep though aspect of sticking it to miners vs the corporations. Screw capitalism but damn if i dont also love it. Purchasing on ebay still technically encouraging capitalism either way

Reference this video all the time. I bought a 3070 a few days ago from a miner. Used it for 3 months undervolted and then didn’t use it again. Bought it as a crazy good price. It was running hot but because he never replaced the thermal paste. Still had the sticker on the screw even. Mileage may vary but second hand isn’t as bad as long as you get an understanding of the seller.

My 1st GPU that come with the prebuild i bought was 9500GT. After i learn and know how to build my own PC, i bought 1050 as an upgrade. Now i own 1080Ti and 3070 and both are mining card. Never had any problem and each of them is 50% cheaper vs new.

Why are miners selling them if they are still good?

Got a used 3090 Ti for 599$ and yeah somehow it was a bit slower than 3070 Ti in 1440p (Only 1440 p)

I am personally using a gpu after 2 years of mining and i can assure you. Nothing happens to a card as long as it does not over heat.
Also another dicovery i made. GPU's that have problems like artifacting works completely fine if used as a mining card without connecting any display.

biggest problem is that miners dont service their gpus, thermal pads worn out, thermal paste dry out, and dust on small components make it overheat on some spots, ive bought 10 rx 580 XFX , 5 of them died after few days of gaming, one even killed my MBO and caused a fire in case !!! ... pick yourself clean cards, dont worry if they dont have sticker on back screws, that means someone already cleaned it and changed thermal paste ( maybe not thermal pads ), risky but cheap...that says all
